I am going to make a guess on two aircraft that have not been mentioned before. My two guess are: 1. Aichi D3A1 Val Dive bomber 2. SB2 Vindicator Dive bomber The Val would be my first guess since the engine cowl in these hint pictures are close. The picture of the wing fold is similar to a Vindicato...

If you intend to find an Avenger in Long Island, then I would suggest you venture out to the one in Centereach, which is a Super WM. Otherwise you may have to resort to E-Bay.

I was at the Centereach WM, 2 weeks ago when I bought my Avenger. There were 8 of them back then. I had mentioned this before, that shortly after I took the Avenger that I wanted, a couple came by and grabbed 5 of them and loaded up their shopping cart. I have not been to that store since then.

Centereach WM

I live on Long Island and only found Avengers at the Centereach WM, which I believe is a Super WM. The easiest way to get there, is to take the LIE(495) East to exit 62, then go North until you get to highway 25. Go West on 25 for about 4 blocks and the WM will be on the right. Once you enter the pa...

Where's Avenging Angel when you need her...?

C44, I had went to the Centereach WM about 6:00PM on Saturday and saw 8 Avengers on a lower shelf, so it must have been a restock. After selecting the plane I wanted, I woman (who was also with a man) took 5 of them. This happened only minutes after I was by that shelf. They could have been hobbysho...

I never saw the retooled Mustangs in Long Island... did anyo

I have been to many WMs in Long Island lately and have never seen the retooled Mustang. The latest XD planes I have seen in these stores are the German F-104 and the "Seemann" ME-109G. Yesterday I finally found 8 TBF Avengers in the WM in Centereach. This I believe is the only WM on Long Island that...

Yes, one of the 1/18 scale manufacturers should make a better P-40. The P-40E model should be made since that was the most numerous and recognizable model.

Mike,

The Toys-R-Us\Amazon website lists a BBI 1/18 scale P-40 that is not available yet. Is this an error or is this a "wait and see"?

I had sent an e-mail to Admiral Toys and managed to find out that the F-86 Saber will be released around the 3-4 of December of this year. I also managed to find out that they will be making WWII aircraft in 1/18 scale. They were not at liberty to tell me what they are yet.

The problem I had with them was that they would sometimes anounce on their website an item as "in stock" while they did't have the item at their store yet. This had happened to me two times. The last item I had ordered from them was the 21st Century 1/18 P-40 Flying Tiger that they listed as "in sto...

1/18 Macchi C.202

21st Century Toys ought to make a Macchi C.202 in 1/18 scale or an Il2 Sturmovic. Both of these planes played significant roles in WWII.
