Re: 1/18 V2

As I anticipated it would, real-world work has really ramped up, reducing significantly my ability to push this project over the "finish" (!?!) line. In what little time I have had, things have changed and moved a little: "The Best is the enemy of the Good:" http://gregburch.net/IMG-20111220-00326.j...

Re: Ever think to yourself- I have too many planes!

Well . . . I have gotten to the point where I've actually stopped myself from buying a plane with the thought that -- hey, you already have four or five of these in different versions; or even that I already have two or three of the SAME version (with the idea of a custom some time in the misty reac...

Don't sweat it! We all know you've been working very hard on this project. Some schedule slippage is inevitable. I am 100% certain that not a single person who's put money down on this project is concerned -- we all know we'll get more than our money's worth. ... and don't give up the idea of doing ...

Re: Advertising for SSHQ?

This is actually a pretty good idea -- although I'd probably call it "promotion" or "promoting" rather than "advertising." I can think of two kinds of web sites where promoting this forum would make sense: online vendors of 1/18 stuff and other model fora. It's been a while since I've been involved ...

Re: 1/18 Pershing tank found (sort of)

i found sever sellers on ebay uk that are selling this tank. Unfortunately none ship to north america. However, here's a pic of one in the box. Dimension quotes are varying quite a bit, so i don't know who to trust. As near as i can tell, it's about 1/19. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-20-Remote-Contr...

Re: 1/18 160th Nightstalker helicopter

Having greedily picked up quite a few things in the BST forum over the last few months, and buying plastic like crazy for my V-2 project, I've pretty much depleted my 1:18 budget (and more) for now. I'm going to have to take a pass on this expensive bird for now . . . hopefully they'll still be arou...

Should I post them here on the 1/18 forum or the customs forum ? Honestly, I would say here. This is in light of the discussion we've had previously about traffic rates in the "Post-Golden Age." It seems this forum is the more visited, and your Horten is THE "Cadillac" project for our hobby right n...

Final Development Parts Catalog: http://gregburch.net/I-01-Parts-008.jpg This image represents a fairly significant personal milestone on this project. I am thinking of posting pics for the directions. I am trying to use the Dragon's directions to fit my needs but it is not working out. So I am thinking of posting pics as directions. Let us see how that works out and if it does not I will make directions on paper. Are you guys OK with this ? Putti...

I applaud the patience and skill necessary for success on this 1/18 V-2 project. At this point, I think the "patience" has become something more akin to a mental illness. I am wondering if there is a practical, cost-effective manner to add the appearance of the thousands of rivets found on the real...
