Very cool. I've been thinking the P-26 would make a great 1/18 model. Lots of great repaints possible, too. I'd love to have one in ROC colors...

Thanks, Jason -- that's a lot of info and very interesting.

In the back of my mind, I had this idea of developing a subscription scheme for funding new products. We should talk about it over lunch! The trial I had set for Monday settled -- call me.

So ... continuing my pestering with questions to try to get a handle on the economics of this business ... Is the $150k figure to just get molds done? If so, how much more does it cost to get all the way through injection, painting and assembly in China? I'm sure there's some major factor of scale (...

How much does it cost?

I'm sure the topic's been talked about before, but as a newcomer here, I hope you'll excuse my ignorance. I'm curious about how much is known within the collector community about what the actual cost is to develop and produce our 1:18 goodies.

Dang! That's what I was afraid of. I noticed it when I first took the shelf box out of the shipping box, but assumed it was packed as a separate piece. So I went through the whole drill of snipping all the wires, etc. ... I've emailed MD. I REALLY don't want to repack and ship this big bird. We'll s...

Rudderless Avenger

I bought one of the Flight 19 Avengers when Monkey Depot had them for a few minutes. It arrived yesterday and I just opened it. Unfortunately, it's missing its rudder. I've searched diligently throughout the packaging and don't see it. Any chance I'm missing it tucked away in some weird place? I've ...

Paint Compatibility

As I've posted elsewhere, I'm just getting into 1:18 (much to my wallet's pain). I've been a modeler off and on all my life -- most recently having spent a few years doing 1:25th styrene car kits and improving my customizing and scratchbuilding skills beyond anything I was able to do when I was a ki...

Thanks for tip, but I figured that out -- painfully -- for myself yesterday. I bought a Sherman at target for under $30 ... and received the FOV Sherman I'd bought on Bay that afternoon. With shipping, the latter was $20 more. Ouch. Having been reading the posts here about the demise of 21C, I got t...

GBURCH: Last year, I saw the BBI Abrams and FOV Abrams side by side at Target. The FOV Abrams was the better model, so I bought it. Thanks for the feedback. On the advice of a board member, I went into a Target this morning looking for Bravo team modern US figures. They are as good as promised and just the thing for the modern Middle East dio I'm collecting for. While I was there, I picked up an Abrahms and a Sherman. I haven't ...

Bravo Team vs. BBI et al.

I know Unimax makes some of the same armor BBI and 21c does (did). How do the Unimax FOV/Bravo Team armor pieces compare to the same pieces made by others?

Thanks for the info. I see what LOOKS LIKE a "Red 3" on eBay -- but it's in a "Motorworks" package -- I assume that's another brand 21c marketed under -- is that right?

Thanks for the tip about Target -- that's less than 1/2 the price at Foxhole. Are the Targets usually well stocked?

As for the camo patter, I'd like to be able to get something from early OIF before that pattern was adopted, but I'll take what I can get.
