Re: 1/18 Ho-229 Production Underway !!!!!

This weekend I think that I may start my on forum directions.. I think that the directions should go on the Custom forum. Input welcomed. Technically, this is neither a "custom" nor a "mod" in the sense that what we have is a kit, and you'll be telling us how you, the designer and creator of...

Re: 1/18 Pegasus Bell X-1 in final scheme

Very, very nice ... and I also love the F-18 NASA chase -- one of these days, I'm going to do one of my F-104s in late-50s/early-60s NASA chase colors.

I'm a little concerned about those hooks -- are they just cup hooks screwed into drywall? Or do you have butterfly bolts behind them?

Great pics from your factory. The way things are going, I may have to put off building mine until the summer; something to really look forward to!

If TKO is, indeed, considering legal action in this matter, I would suggest that we refrain from discussing this on a public forum.

Re: 1/18 Ho-229 Production Underway !!!!!

For me, the delay is a good thing. I'm blessed with some good work-work right now, so getting the kit now would just make me frustrated that I couldn't work on it.

Glad you had a good holiday!

Swell. Tom Cruise in a Flying Tigers film? First I've heard of that. Hope it doesn't come to be. I simply cannot stand the sight of the guy, never understood his appeal on any level, and personally think he is out of his freekin' mind and is in a dangerous money cult. That alone means I won't put a...

Re: Red Tails - January 20, 2012

I don't think the timing is right to hope for an xmas release Tuskeegee model 10-11 months after the film's been in the theaters. And as for Star Wars, the whole toy tie-in was an unknown back in the time of the original Star Wars movie. Since then, the movie studios have honed development, producti...

My own Xmas money went toward some recent really great purchases on the BST forum: - My third Razorback P-47 (and I never thought I'd get even one!) - A second green Zero - THREE (!) Stukas (bringing my total to four; one - desert - to stay in the box for now and one fairly beat up one held in antic...

Re: What was the worst item ever made?

The Hellcat from BBI was the absolute worst in my opinion. Functionally, it's a floppy mess. There is so much to be frustrated by... The flaps, the wings, the main gear, the canopy shape... It's a real shame too! I'm inclined to agree -- very frustrating model. I took mine down from the ceiling the...

Re: JSI P-38 Opinions

If I recall, the P-38 was very early in the Golden Age. As big, impressive and sturdy as the model is, there's much to wish for, in comparison to later models: No moving control surfaces and the contour of the vertical stabs is poor on the leading and trailing edges (P-40-ish) ... at least those are...

I'm curious what your criticisms of the Razorback are (aside from the obvious problem of the huge notch in the razorback for canopy retraction).

they're shipping stuff from Hong Kong? I didn't really think about that. i thought they have an office in the US. I'd bet you're thinking of a next project. Any clues?
