Re: 1/144 Glenco Models Martin China Clipper in War Paint
The feathered edge was achieved by painting the model with an airbrush. The Goose was painted with a brush, therefor the hard lines in between the colors. ( I couldn't take the airbrush out for such a small model). Thanks for the water diorama link. I always wanted to do something similar I think it...

Re: 1/144 Glenco Models Martin China Clipper in War Paint
Thanks Dauntless
The flying boat has clear acetate disc's, they might have been cut out of the top of a shirt box, the Goose has "Prop Blurs". They are from a company of the same name that produces the photo etched pieces from 1/144 scale to 1/32.

1/144 Glenco Models Martin China Clipper in War Paint
I love flying boats and sea planes. Here is a Glenco Models Martin China Clipper in WWII Navy colors. I put the spinning props on one side and the stopped props on the other just to show what each configuration would look like. I added some MV Products light lens's in the wings, nose and wing tips a...

Thanks Todd, Oh boy that was a long time ago. Right now I'm gonna guess and say it was a LS or DML. If I come across the old box top ( I tried to save the box tops of the kits I built ) I will post it but I am swaying towards the LS.

This time it's an old Revell KC-135 and an LS SR-71. http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh623/repligun/Picture1767.jpg http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh623/repligun/Picture1765.jpg http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh623/repligun/Picture1764.jpg http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh623/repl...

1/144 KC-130 Refuel Diorama
Recently I posted on a 1/144 IXO A-20 converted to LITTLE CHIEF from the 90th Bomb Group. The discussion led to my using Kristal Klear from MicroScale where I put up pics of a KC-130 that I did all the glass in this product. I figured I would post some pics of the whole Diorama. It is a 1/144 Revell...

Re: 1/144 A-20 conversion - Completed
Thanks jlspec and Epap I appreciate the feedback. I put some rolled up tape lightly inside the canopy attached to a toothpick. Thats how I can hold it to paint. I use a very fine paintbrush and if I mess up I can usually clean it off with a point of a toothpick. There is a product called Micro Krist...

Re: 1/144 A-20 conversion - Completed
Thank You cnq I appreciate it. The tail and nose art were scaled down by my son using a pic of the 1/48 scale factory made decals. I printed them on my regular ink jet printer on white inkjet decal paper. They still are a bit tricky to work with even after coating with a sealer. Sometimes they smear...

We added a 1/144 A-20 "GREEN HORNET" made by ixo to our collection a little while ago. Not a bad representation. http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh623/repligun/Picture1859.jpg http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh623/repligun/Picture1861.jpg We acquired another one recently at a decent price so...

Very nice job. Always interesting to do "what if" schemes. That aircraft has to be one of the most beautifully shaped ever made. It is definitely one of my favorites.

Historic Aviation has 3 mustangs and a BF109G for $99.99 each. They also have the Dauntless for a bit more. Just enter 1/18 in the search on their web site for those pages.

If you go to that web site click on the tab for Aircraft. Scroll to the bottom and there will be a table of aircraft losses with some pretty good explanations of what happened to them.

Re: 1/144 B-24 / F7A Photo Mapping
The F7A's AND B's were different than the PB4Y"s. The F7's had cameras mounted in the nose and rear bombay areas. This is a great web site with a lot of info and pics on the type.

Re: 1/144 B-24 / F7A Photo Mapping
Thanks Dauntless, Thats PR Blue (Photo Reconnaissance Blue). It was used on P-38's, Spitfires, Mosquitos, F7A's and B's and most likely any other Photo Recon aircraft. It didn't hold up well. It faded quickly and just didn't last. The B-24's carried it for a short time and then it was stripped off a...

1/144 B-24 / F7A Photo Mapping
We are currently taking a CafeReo Big Bird 1/144 B-24 and making it a F7A Photo Mapping aircraft from the 5th Air Force. These pics show the point that it is at now. My son is in the process of getting the nose art and tail markings ready to print on decal sheet. What we are thinking about doing is ...

Nice JR. 8) F-Toys B-17G's? I recently got one of those Corgi 1:144 hangars, but haven't put it together yet. Yours is scratchbuilt? Yes the B-17's are F-TOYS. Its a shame they have become so expensive. The same as the CafeReo BigBird B-24'S. The same ones that my son and I did the 90th bomb group ...

1/144 Airshow B-17's
We just finished some B-17's as they would be on the airshow circuit using a new set of decals by Kitsworld. The decals laid down beautifully with a little solvaset. They are Aluminum Overcast, Yankee Lady and Texas Raiders. http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh623/repligun/B-17sairshow4.jpg http:/...

Re: Kyushu J7W1 Shinden
Great footage. You can see how they had to add the mini wheels on the lower tails after the prop chopped up the ground and got damaged. The last part shows that it actually flew. Here's a couple pics of the F-TOYS 1/144 version. A rare and pricy item now. http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh623/re...
