What! Still no floor pan in the HUMVEE? Is that really "AS REAL AS IT GETS". Reminds me of the joke: A guy sees a sign in s Steak Grill Restaurant that says "All you can eat for $8.95". He goes in and orders a sirloin steak, finishes it and orders another. The guy thinks he hears the cook ask him "T...

Klaus, Clinton, MD Wal*Mart off Branch Ave. next to Lowe's. They are on the top shelf of the last toy aisle with the RC stuff. They were there today at 1400 hrs. Both looked pristine with excellent paint jobs. This Wal*Mart is notorious for having nothing of interest, so I was surprised. One case wi...

Kiowa in Virginia!

Kiowa found in Virginia TRU. I hope TRU does not resurrect its habit of increasing the price on items, the second shipment. This is a $24.99 to $29.99 item. To be the same price as the Lil'bird is a steal. All the antennae, hard routing conduits, bump-outs and bulges are there. Translucent red ID li...

If you use heat

If you heat any plastic, be sure to immerse the heated section in ice cold water. Plastic has a "mold-memory". By heating the plastic, you literally put it to sleep as far as the memory is concerned and by immersing it in ice cold water, you shock the plastic into the new shape (you give it a memory...

Available at Wal*Mart in VA - $39.84.

Found Black 12 in Virginia. Only one case with two 12s and two of the first series chevron 190s. I opened the chevron and compared it to the boxed 12 and my displayed Red. I noticed that some parts are remolded from the Red I purchased several months ago. First, there is a shroud in the back part of...

Pics of AH-64 Apache and camo Super Cobra helicopter.

Just bought a bbi Apache helicopter (finally discounted to $29.99 at TRU - Virginia) and the rotor blades were molded curved up. Didn't know if this was realistic or a result of packaging. Seems some hot water remolding is in order. Ran across this and some other pictures at this site. 'Ski, this ma...

The Amraam (AIM 120) fins are almost identical in size, front and rear while the Sparrow (AIM 7) fins are larger mid-missile (3'-4" wingspan) and smaller at the tail. The profile and in-scale proportions mimic those of the Sparrow. Additionally the Amraam's diameter is an even smaller 7" as opposed ...

Anyone have problems with the painted line boxing around the pilot's name on one side of the canopy being too large or out of font. Secondly, the Sidewinder missile (AIM 9P) is too large. The Hornet's Sidewinder missile seems more in scale with the actual 5" diameter and 9'-11" length. Thirdly, the ...

I agree with kenhil2. I think these figures were good if not better than some of the other 1:18 figures available now. I got a boatload from Blue Planet at $1.99 each and they now populate my 1:18 universe. No matter how you pose these guys, they don't become amputees. Their joints are tight and the...

For Sale - WM 1:18 Motorworks Vehicles below list price.

Hi guys, This is my first post. I am located in Washington, DC so you can get some idea of shipping cost. All items were purchased from Wal*Mart, are Motorworks boxed (some boxes show shelf-wear but are not crushed) and are new and unopened. I have a digital camera and will email you pictures of the...
