Woo Hoo. My 1/16 KT arrived late last week. It is one massive beast. scbvideoboy, The seller assured me that all his tanks have been given the thorough once over before he sends them out, so no faults. In comparison to my XD 1/18 tanks it looks okay. The fine details like tools and tow bolts give it...

Thanks for the link hotrodrock. I did a brief search before posting but didnt come across your post. That is the paint scheme KT i have been looking at. I guess being the only KT in my collection it would look good next to my XD vehicles and the 21st tankers seem to suit. Is it the type that "shoots...

No 21st King Tiger, comments on Matorro 1/16?

With all 21st's troubles I don't think we will see a King Tiger released in 1/18 in the near future. I am beginning to lean towards making my first purchase in 1/16 scale. Anyone care to make any comments/suggestions on the Matorro 1/16 version of the King Tiger. Does anyone have one and does...

Looks like its coming along really good, cannot wait to see your finished figure. That head you found does have a Francis Castigliano look to it. I used to buy around 10 comics a month, mainly X titles and wolverine, but now only Punisher, Jonah Hex and 2000AD from England. Sorry that Garth Ennis is...

I think hotrodrock is correct. This is a S4 scheme. S3 Panther came with a Winter whitewash IIRC.

Seriously, cut the bristles from a brush. Dye/paint them to the shade of foliage required. Push into your diorama base or polystyrene painted green.
Good to go! :D

I picked up the WWII US/Wehr and Wehr/Wehr 2-packs from eBay before Xmas. I was disapointed the Beretta SMG (?) gunner comes with a MP40 pouch but has kar98 pouches fixed. Also the German figures only have two holes on their belt available for the breadbag. Unless you drill more holes and cut the ka...

This can only be good for the 1/18 world.
With another manufacturer on the scene maybe it will prompt the others to release new/re-paints more regularly.
In comparison to the FOV fig's on the next peg, they look a little over scale though.
Thanks for the photos Sky Ray.

So with the whitewash I guess those Germans are part of the Afrika Korp

Even though the P-51 paint is not historically correct, its kinda cool. Sort of like a P-51 in Luftwaffe night fighter camo. Good painting!

It's all about how happy you are with your customizing. If you think it looks good, go with it.
If you are going for historical accuracy, maybe modify the spike to closer represent the picture in pickelhaube's link.
All said, I think you have done a really good effort.
