Re: roll call any groundpounders?

I'm back after a long absence. Can't believe how much the hobby has changed...BadCat gone, prices high on EVERYTHING 1:18, so many things I sold now described as 'rare'....but good to see some familiar names as I start (re)building up a small collection. No kidding. Made me think about selling off ...

Re: roll call any groundpounders?

I'm still around. Haven't logged in for a LOOOOONNNNNG time. When 21st closed up shop I kept about a dozen planes that I have displayed around the house, but the thrill of the find was gone so haven't even thought about 1:18 stuff other than the occasional "Dad can we play planes?" I get from the ki...

Glad ya'll got this slimebag. He looks like someone who would steal toys and hack them up. Probably still lives in his parents basement too. I didn't have anything in this whole process, but I'm happy that at least a few of you got some of your stuff back. I would have loved to have seen what would ...

the S1 Mustang was Lou IV.......the blue nose came out later and was bogus but i think it was S3, i believe there was another one in between. Anyway Lou IV was definitely S1. I can't comment on the stuka but i was under the impression it's an actual aircraft.....Teamski may have a picture of it in ...

We had a store broken into two years ago and the police still have the items as "evidence" in the case. Hopefully that won't be the case here.

Glad they stuck it to him. My guess is he will end up skipping out on the thing. People who do things like this are scum, and scum never do as they should. I had a guy ram me in a road rage incident and he was charged with felony aggrevated assault, which he plead down to misdemeanor criminal mischi...

I’ve seen stuff like that happen around here before. My last personal favorite was when I found a BBD in the new P-51 box. Wal Mart is pretty lax with their returns so people do crap like that all the time. Usually I see stuff that’s in the wrong packaging and not really missing parts although I be...

Just out of curiosity did ya'll ever get ole Jerry Napier (or whatever the heck his name is)? I don't have a dog in this fight but would sure love to see this dirtbag get nailed to the wall. I remember all the hoopla over on GP's site when he scammed folks over there. I can't believe someone hasn't ...

Found a couple in Clinton MO thursday afternoon. They also had a Blonde Angle P47! Guess that's a store that doesn't ever do closeouts.

I agree. The cheapest shipping rate I've seen on ebay for an Avenger was $15, and most of the more experienced ebay sellers are pretty savvy about what it costs to ship an item. The Avenger is considerably larger and heavier than any other XD aircraft to date, and if he can ship them for $10 I woul...

It also makes a huge difference in the final price if the seller is willing to ship worldwide. Those overseas bidders get crazy.

I went back to Gainsville TX (initial spotting) last night. There are 3 figures (didn't see the third one initially). Detail looks good, paint looks good. Looks like someone else has already found one and posted pics and they are of the same paint scheme I picked up. Mine came to a hair over $75 wit...

I know there's already a thread on this but I'd quit reading the Avenger thread weeks ago since there was never anything new on it. Most Walmarts in the Tulsa area have the Stuka, 109s, Corsairs and 104s with a smattering of P-51s here and there.. One Walmart had the Corsairs on Clearance for $21.00 each with the other planes still at full price?? Go figure.... :? Which WM? I don't have a corsair and if I could get one for $21 ...

I'll bet it's a lot more than that. 55 vehicles at $20 each would be $1100. I'll bet the reserve is at least $1K.
