KB Toys

Last Sunday my freind said he was going to Florida and his buddy had told him that " my soldiers " were on sale at 3/$10.00. We both took it for granted that he was talking about Walmart but now it makes sence that it's KB.

Paratroopers

I used a 4" deep x 8" wide at the top very light plastic flower pot liner bought at the supermarket flower dept. for 50 cents. You get a very nice "drape" effect and the 4"depth leaves about 1" of loose chute so you don't see the bowl. Use a clear plastic push pin and you're all set. Kim...if you wa...

Frnch Ship

There was just a program on Discovery Channel about this type of ship. It is used to transport multi million dollar yachts across the ocean from one continent to another. It sinks itself and the cargo just floats in. Bob

BIG SHOTGUN

The 105's in Viet Nam had shotgun shells filled with little steel arrows called fleschettes. The rouds were called beehives because they sounded like a swarm of bees going over head. Very effective for stopping human wave attacks, but very sloppy picking up the pieces in the morning. Bob

NVA FIGURES

Just checked my loose figures and the Starwars Sentry uniform is real close to NVA uniform since a gun crew wouldn't have web gear on while manning the gun. Pretty close to the color too. The WWII Japanese heads are close but a litte thin for a real NVA. Different racial look altogether. Remember th...

PLATOON FIGURES

I'll pick up 3 or 4 of each and trade legs and arms. That will make 2 squads. Just have to go to Mark at Build-A-Rama for the radio and medic equip.

Ordered 2 on the evening of the 5th and received the order today. Great service from Marauder, highly recommended. The cycles are on par size wise with the Miesto WWII Harleys. SMALL ZIP-LOC BAGS

:D Hi guys; This has come up before on the board but I thought I'd refresh everyones memories. I put my extra Star Wars and military arms and accessories in small 2"x 5" zip-loc bags that I bought in a comic book shop many years ago. Works out great 'cause you can put many of these in a larger zip-l...

21st Sitrep

:( Went to the super Walmart in Monroe N.Y. this morning and they had plenty of BOB series 2, old 1/32 stugs. What suprised me was they had 8 brand new 1/18 P-51s. They were out of reach on the overheads. They weren't there last week. I don't do repaints so I didn't do any climbing to check them out...

Most hated figures/vehicles

 The APC drivers are the worst figures in any line ever made. Not real happy with the LAV having totally weathered tires and a top that looks like it just went through the car wash. Play nice. Bob

GERMAN POSTERS

http://www.calvin.edu/academic/cas/gpa/posters2.htm For 7thva_hunter there 11 pages of 1/18th scale WWII Nazi posters. Someone on GP posted this link about 4 years ago. Have fun. My want is some WWII African-American drivers and a Red Tail P-51 with pilot. When I was in Nam about 25 % of the troops ...
