Re: Schleich Heroes series

hm.....that's a good guess. I don't recal ever seeing a picture of one like that but it's an odd error for them to make. We'll see what the finished model looks like. I don't think I have ever seen a picture of a war elephant  Ray I have a book on war elephants. The Indian elephant was the pr...

Yes air is expensive, but more importantly every item sent to me (over 400), have all arrived way down to Adelaide South Australia and that takes some of the pain away of the cost.

amazing

Years ago I thought I my 1/18 collection was extensive, but seeing over this time the General's photos of his ever growing hobby, his talent and sheer numbers of each item, I am left speechless and feel left behind. That prime mover is what is needed to round of my collection and tow the 88. Hoping ...

the bucket list

in the very early days they pictured a tan Kubelwagen with a roof. The one item in this list I was hanging most out for was that great looking bridge. I guess there is a mold out there for this, that will never see the light of day, what a pity.

jagdpanther

I have 4 Jagdpathers from Henglong, all work perfectly. 2 Grey 2 Camo. One Camo is green based, green a little bright, perfer the sand based camo, there is also just a sand scheme which looks fine, but 4 is my limit. Too dumb to know how to post photos, sorry.

1/16

All my extensive range of 1/18 go with my now 16 r/c tanks in 1/16 scale, except of course my corresponding 1/18 tanks which I am slowly selling and will reduce to around 20 of my favourites including customs. These 20 I must say only involve 4 different tanks that 21st Century produced and I alread...

storage

As a matter of interest I am paying $80 Australian, say $50US a month for storing my 1/18 around 10 kilometers away. While this amount hurts the hip pocket, its worth it for my sanity as I can finally move my office chair and open my filing cabinets without first shifting 1/18 items out of the road....

1/18

Today I have taken around 80% of my 1/18 items to an off site storage facility to free up space around me. I sorta feel 1/18 is over for me and its been a big part of my life for the last 8 years. I will continue to troll for any future 1/18 items, but I am not in a hurry to buy anymore so the press...

I have had 2 Jagdpanthers for the last 4 days, both run well. Two more on order. Understand relacing a damaged one is no problem, though this would not be pleasant experience for a first time buyer of HengLong.

wife

It just surprised me learn Claus von Stauffenberg's wife died in 2006 given from my understanding Hilter had hundreds of Germans excuted after the attempt on his life, which in many cases would have included the entire family as retribution. As a side issue my father died in 1976 and was a prisoner ...

Just got home after seeing the movie released today in Australia Jan 22. Quite enjoyed it, worth seeing, would have liked to have seen more armour, only a few minutes in Africa in that respect. Moved along and kept my interest, although I knew the story from a older film based on the same story. Int...

I agree there is some chance of a fautly R/C tank. I am lucky because I am more than satisfied with the 12 well running tanks I can pick from, so when I purchased a Panzer 111 several months ago and it was dead as a door nail, 10 minutes later after removing 9 screws, removing the turret spocket and...

non tanks

I have over 100 non tank vehicles in 1/18 and they look fine against the 1/16 tanks. I just do not mix the 1/18 corresponding tank to the 1/16 tank. My 700- 800 figures are fine with 1/16 also.

RE DOLLY

Great idea and do not wish to dampen it one bit, but I found a month ago a Playmobil forest logging truck - 4209, which works a treat. It comes with a tractor which I sprayed grey, but I prefer to hook the logging trailer on to a IJ truck and pull the V1 that way. There are chains supplied that go o...
