FS: Genuine HGU-55 Flight Helmet/Mask - LAST CHANCE!
I am selling my old spare Air Force flight helmet. It is basically brand new as I was given a different one when I arrived at my base. It has a brand new mask, clear and smoke visors, leather visor cover and a green helmet bag. I am asking for $500 out the door, which is a steal based on what I saw ...

Wanted to share my promotion
Wanted to share with all the great board members that I pinned on Master Sergeant officially today. My arms are sore from all the "tacking on" but the price is a small one to pay. Now I just need to update my profile photo, but hate losing that picture as it is one of my favorites. Just over two mor...

Re: 1/18th and 1/32 scale for sale!
I agree with everyone who feels it is his right to sell at his prices. I sent him a PM inquiring about a particular plane. It was a little pricey for me and thanked him for his time. He was a gentleman about it and said there was no problem at all. Simply put, if you want to pay the price, great. If...

Re: Badcat's 1/18 Wish List for 2011
I personally wouldn't be so quick to knock the F-5. It may not be as well known, but it did fill a role and it filled it well. There are also a great number of possible repaints. Its not a bad idea, especially since it would be a lot simpler to make. Just my opinion. If they made one, I would buy it...

Not too often in our past that we buy and use a foreign aircraft, but I think this is a good decision.

I have just accepted the fact that what has been made is it. Except for the specialized ones, and maybe JSI, which at times even seems in doubt; that the big three are pretty much done.

A beautiful bird TKO. I never knew they were actually painted in that color. I always assumed it was the standard silver or OD green.

I told Santa-wife about this one. She was less than thrilled at another airplane for the collection, but hopefully one will be under the tree in December. Looks like a nice addition to the "Man-cave Museum."

I appreciate it! Yes, it seems to be quite rare these days, as are most of the German planes.tko211 wrote:Congrats! The Rall 109-G is my favorite! It's getting more and more rare as time goes on.

Got lucky this morning - Bf-109 G Rall
Logged onto my computer this morning and found that I got a verified second chance offer on the "Rall" Bf-109 that I had lost bidding on. The price got way to rich for my blood and stopped at what I could afford. Lo and behold, the guy had extras and gave me a chance to buy it at my top price of $12...

Re: Question about "Marine's Dream" corsair - background inf
Yes the Marines Dream is a flying air show plane. I’ve seen it in person a few times and have a few different photos of it hiding out on different computers. Not an original scheme from what I was told but still a cool bird. Yeah, I like the scheme, just wish it was historically accurate, but what ...

Re: Question about "Marine's Dream" corsair - background inf
I did a little research a while back to get info on marines dream. The BBI paint scheme was never used in that way in WWII. I believe this is a paint scheme of a corsair used now for air shows or some kind of modern display at some point. Ok, that would make sense. Just have a cool paint job, put a...

Question about "Marine's Dream" corsair - background info
I like to have as much background information as I can for all of my planes and keep it all on an excel spreadsheet. It makes me feel more in touch with the planes knowing their individual histories. For the MD corsair, I have seen 1Lt Edwin Olander VMF 214 attached to that particular plane and now ...

Re: WTB - Looking for the 1st Edition Pappy Boyington corsai
Its not a problem, I understand and know it is fairly rare. I can say to myself that I have the complete collection of corsairs because I have the JSI one, but it's not quite true. If I never find it, its ok.Buckyroo wrote:Wish I could help you, but that is one I don't have either.
