I have all of them and I can say that the Admiral ones are prettier to look at and easier to put together. I would also say that their quality is better. But as far as the paint job goes, the 21C "Yellow 7" wins hands down. But the quality wasnt there as mine had glue problems, which I had to fix. W...

Well news of 21C going under and the fact that there are no more in the pipeline could cause dramatic price increases. Must be it.

Aferg - I tend to agree. I chalk this one up to a bit of a panic mode. I paid the higher price because I never had the opportunity to get it before, but there is no way I would ever pay 120.00 for it. I suppose like all things, there are a lot of factors causing the prices to fluctuate and I think i...

Got it just in time!

I bought a "Hackl" Bf-109G-6 from Aiken's Airplanes just the other day. It was at a pretty decent price, I think it was 70.00 plus shipping. Well, they were one of the online retailers who told me that 21C was out of business. Looking on their website today, that plane would have cost me another 50 ...

I got a Mig-15 like that as well. It was missing the seat. My wife had gotten all three of them for me for christmas from badcat. It wasnt her fault and it wasnt badcat, it was simply bad production from the company.

I wonder why they went out of business...

Bad Cat private reserve prices coming down

Curious, the prices seem to be coming down to what I would consider, more reasonable levels. The economy maybe?

21st Century Toys is out of business!

Spoke on the phone to two very reputable and well known online retailers and they both said that 21st Century is out of business and that they wont be getting much in their stores in the way of stock. Basically, whatever is out there now is it.

Let's not lose focus here. Whinning or griping didn't kill our hobby, the economy did. During the Wal-mart heydays when there were plenty to go around. That was several, I mean several years ago. Since then, everything has gone up. Oil has to be used to make plastics and when the price of oil nearly...

Other 21st century projects cancelled

I'm not sure if this is a repeat post, or if anyone is actually surprised, but Aiken's Airplanes, which always had a lot of offerings and decent prices is listing the B-25, the Mig Mad Mavis, the F-4 and Boyington Corsair as cancelled. I never bought from this company, but they always seemed to have...

Ill buy that on both accounts. I fully admit it is an obsession, an addiction, whatever you want to call it. But I put them out and admire. I have never wanted to keep them all hemmed up in a box. I wanted them out for the world (and my family and friends) to see.

Im sitting around 70 myself, with a couple duplicates. I wouldnt know what to do what twice that number, especially if they were all out of the boxes. My wife has issues with the ones I have now. If they were doubled, I would be enjoying them out in the garage!

I'm planning on displaying all my Corsairs, Hellcats and Avengers with the wings folded anyways. Otherwise, there wouldn't be enough room. I can always bring them down off the shelf and put the wings in place.

Does anyone have them all?

I'm not trying to equate our hobby to the Pokemon "Gotta get 'em all" craze, but I am curious to see if anyone out there has them all. Now I'm not talking about weird one-and-only prototypes. I will include the Tendor Terror because people had to work for and then wait for it. So, here is the questi...

WTB - 1:18 Fw-190s

I know it is a pipe dream, but we all have to have dreams. I am looking for two of the four Fw-190s. I have Red 3 and the Michaelski. I know about the Priller -190, but that seems a bit out of my range at the moment. I would be interested in purchasing the other two if anyone would be interested in ...

Buckyroo,
Sorry forgot to mention that he took a bunch of photos of the planes from all angles to make sure I knew what I was getting. He even apologized that the pics were not top quality because all he had was his phone. It has been a pleasure to work with him. Never fear!
