Onboard accessories of 21C XD Sherman Tank

There seems to be five versions of the 1:18 M4 Sherman Tank that 21st Century Toys has offered since year 2000. These S1-S5 tanks seem to be identical, except for overall paint scheme, decals ,and commander figures. I've noticed that there are about 1/2 dozen plastic accessories that are "cliipped" ...

I think FOV has dubious quality in general, eventhough most of the second release in 2004 of 1/32 vehicles is good for the price. At 1/72 scale, I wouldn't expect much. Mass produced M4s and T34s of average quality at $8 a piece are OK with me, but for PZ Vs and VIs, I would rather spend $12 on Drag...

the less that are on display the more that people will see the detail. The K&C product line is 1/30 scale, and unweathered. If your 1/32 scale airplanes are 1/32 scale 21st century toys, then I would buy 21C 32X tanks and vehicles. If the 1/32 scale airplanes are Forces of Valor, then I would buy 1...

Where I can get propellor blade decals for my XD P-47?

These will make the 1:18 airplane model that much cooler!
I've noticed that the 2nd release of the 21C Kepford Corsair includes them as factory applied. The BBI P-51 "Killer" has them too.

Cool photos!
The P-47 is closer to the camera than the P-51 in both images, so I think we need more "engineering" information to prove true scale sizes for the models mentioned in this thread.
BTW, do you know where I can get propellor blade decals for my 21C XD P-47 "Blonde Angel"?

Yes they're all pretty much spot on, scale-wise....no worries there.
Then why were the S1 figures all "munchkins"?

2000 S1 21C XD Product Line - True Scales

Hello again. This is a major issue to our hobby, because the WWII 1:18 all starts in the year 2000 with the 21st Century releases at TRU with the S1 Sherman Tank, Panther Tank, P-51D Mustang Airplane, ME-109E Emil Airplane, Willys Jeep, and Daimler Kubelwagen. Since all of these Tanks, Airplanes, an...

Panzer IV Problems

I just opened up the 21C Panzer, and have a few questions (that have probally been posted and answered previously): a) If the tuirret is not removable, then how do you get the Commander figure out of the copula (his legs seem to be bent inside the turret and inaccessible)? b) How do you "twist" the ...

Well, I did my own research, and for those members of this forum who are interested: 1. Pz. "Maus" was a huge 188 ton vehicle designed by Porsche with a huge turret that housed both 128 mm and 75 mm coaxial guns. Only 1 prototype was built, along with an extra chassis/hull. The prototype was blow up...

So I'm a guilty consumer as charged!

Mr. Football, Can you give me a brief description of what the Germans actually manufactured of the E-100, and how many prototypes there were? Is the E-100 the same tank as the "Maus" (German word for Mouse?). I have a sinking feeling that the Master Nazi at Dragon Models/Cyber Hobby is going into de...

Diecast Direct is a good business.
However, there have been several Corgi items that arrived with a "fair" box (that is, defintely not "mint" because the box had a crumpled side or corner).

For photos, go to this guy's website (he was at the tour).
You'll see more of the Panther in the restoration shop than I did!
He even sells the photos on CD-ROM.

Send him an email at PonyTrax@aol.com. The tours are on Saturdays, and it may be a couple of months before he can schedule you in. You also might want to tell him about your AFV interests in the message. I told him that my favorite tanks at Aberdeen (which I visited last year) were the 2 Panthers, a...

I saw Jacque Littlefield's Tank Collection last Saturday!

I live in the SF Bay Area, so I visited Jacques' ranch in Portola Valley to see his collection. Very Impressive! Probally the best news is that he is rebuilding a Panzer V Ausf A in the restoration shop (run by 5 full-time mechanics, each with their own no-limit Credit Card provided by Jacques) that...

Great series so far. History Channel is really hitting home by focusing on the tragedy of WWII to the civilian populations. This is one of the reasons why WWII was much more apocalyptic than WWI. Tonight is the Oder front, and the ensuing Battle for Berlin. Germany was a beaten nation by then, so I ...

Minichamps 1:35 Panther problem

For those who own one of these excellent models, is there a problem with the 75mm cannon remaining in the "elevated" position?
I've noticed that the cannon is diecast, and the weight of the long gun drags it down to the lowest position from the slightest finger tap on the tank.

Yeah, those upcoming Corgi 1:32 Hawker Hurricanes look sweet from the photos!
I wish I had the space to store the huge boxes that the diecast models will arrive in (eventhough the cardboard & foam packaging the Corgi provides with the airplane is very well done too).

Do we know if Wittman's 007 Tiger was a late production or a mid production model? Corgi 1:50 and Dragon 1:72 have it as late production. K&C 1:30 has it as mid production. Also, was the 007 Tiger knocked out Aug 1944 by a Typhoon fighter/bomber or a British/Canadian Firefly Sherman? Thanks. STRYKER
