The really sad part is that at most Walmarts, the fact that they don't even carry the manufacturer and couldn't get it to scan wouldn't trigger anything beyond a page to the toy department... And I wouldn't be incredibly surprised if at some Walmart, Paul wouldn't end up being able to walk out with ...

I'd be interested, but after the DISASTER I had at WM and then went to 4 other WM's today only find NOTHING...it'd be hard finding something that no one here has already found! It WAS a FLUKE that I found some new armor!! And it was only at ONE WM. Again, the other 5 WM's here are XD EMPTY! I'd pro...

Count me in. We may also want to clarify era, is applicable--I know most of us are pretty much across the board, but there are a few that are dedicated to one era or another.

I mentioned this on the 1/18 thread for scale jumpers, but just in case... Spotted in the Mishawaka, IN Walmart: 1/32 Big Hog Corsair and Snake Stuka... They had about 3 of each as of 12/9... Happy Hunting!

Any special base coat or primer? Does it make a difference if painting over an existing paint scheme vs. bare plastic, such as a model kit?

Re: 1:24 ?

I came across this website after I saw a model in the Historic Aviation catalog and googled the manufacturer. Pretty nice airplanes, it seems. http://www.merit-intl.com/vendor/merit.html also a nice selection of vehicles, mostly 1:35 scale: http://www.merit-intl.com/vendor/hf.html JimBob Yeah, Meri...

I am just getting ready to start doing some airbrush work, and was wondering if there is any sort of special prep or primer needed when using water-based acrylics on plastics (e.g. models and XD)? I am mixing my own colors using Createx airbrush colors, which I would suspect are pretty comparable in...

G'day All Sorry to disappoint but I think the slots on the nose you are referring to are the ejection points the canon shell casings. Hadn't considered that possibility, since I am not used to manufacturer's taking it into account... Factor in that it looks to be very close to where the bombs were ...

I spotted those two a couple weeks ago at a Kalamazoo Walmart. I don't know if they are 1/43 or 1/48 (and didn't have a micrometer with me to measure the difference). I thought the other cars/trucks in that scale were 1/48 but who knows. They don't exactly note it on the package... Makes me wonder i...

Additional mounting points on Admiral Me-262

Is it just my imagination, or does it look like Admiral including mounting points (slots) for bombs or drop tanks on the nose of the Me-262. And are those mounting holes on the fuselage bottom below/behind the wing for possible rocket mounts or towed hardware? Makes me wonder what accessories are in...
