Great source for 1:35....

Joe, Visit Tim at his e-mail address: tgipprich@comcast.net Tim has hundreds of beautifully built dioramas of 1:35 WWII, and later, armour. His prices are the best, and he accepts PayPal. I have never received one of his models that didn't exceed my expectations! Tell him that I mentioned him, and a...

[Anyway, that's the way eBay is susposed to work but seldom does.]

Ain't that the truth! I had my last remaining MIB Gate jeep up for auction the same time these 5 dollar ones showed up!

Didn't someone once say "life isn't anything but timing"? [/quote]

Corey,

You are right about loving the P-40! I would kill to do a power climb in the 'real' thing! I am going to send a picture to your e-mail address showing them displayed together. And I agree...keep your collection intact! Thanks again for the sale of the Warhawk....

Hi Corey! Great story.... I believe that I have the same mahogany model you have...mine has "COAST GUARD, SAN FRANCISCO" on the floats. Always wanted to add the plane numbers, and MIAMI, to the nose to match the ones I flew...but gave up trying to find the proper numbers and letters decal sheets on ...

Corey,

Noticed an HU-16E USCG Albatross in your collection...not a common plane to collect. Is there a history here? I flew this plane out of Elizabeth Citty NC and Miami FL way back when. Not a glamour plane by any stretch of the imagination, but always got us home....

Take care,

Hi guys, I am an avid reader of this forum, and rarely have anything of value to add...but I want to say something about this subject. If indeed manufacturers monitor this site, as suggested by some of us, then they have to sometimes feel like the schoolboy that came home one day with his latest rep...

Appreciate the link...used BCT to correct the tail of my Stuka, and the end result was well worth it. I have always 'liked' the finished look of dry transfers, but never knew where, of if, they were sold after market. If you are interested, I have figured out a way to reproduce battle flags, and map...

But you forgot to tell us how you decaled your repaint....

Once again...a great job!

Very nice end product! You mentioned that you decaled this...are you using after market decals? Are is there a way to make your own water soluable decal sheets on your computer.... If there IS a way to make your own decal sheets...I have a ton of 'projects' to get started on! Take care, and keep you...

You have been a real help, 3toughtrucks! I haven't heard back from the seller, and my diorama space is limited...I will have to 'sleep' on this one! Hate to see this item go, though...it looks pretty good from the pic.

Thanks, 3toughtrucks! But would a 3/4 ton trailer look OK with a 1:18 jeep? The hitch issue could be fixed....

Thanks for the 'heads up'! I just questioned the seller as to how he determined the scale...and would he supply the deminsions for the 'box' and the tire height.

would love to add this to my 1:18 diorama of planes and jeeps!

Hi Spud, The opening hood on the Gate is diecast...and you are right, the Gate 'sits' higher than the Solido! Thanks to Centone, I have a Tamiya 1/20 on its way to me, as well as a 1/18 GI Joe, which he steered me to on e-bay. I will give you my thoughts on both when I can see them 'up close and per...

Having both, the Mustang wins 'hands down'. Pappy's plane was the King of the roost prior to receiving my Mustang, especially with the historical significance...but The Killer has details, and accuracy, that I can spend hours staring at.... Had Pappy's Corsair had decent detail where the wings are e...

centone, The 08 picture link is definitly not the 'covered' Solido, but a much better model! The top appears to be fabric...while the Solido is plastic. In addition, the attached tools are more realistic, since the Solido are the same OD as the vehicle. I would love to know the maker of the Jeep you...

I have a MIB (mint in box) Gate Willys Jeep that I am debating as to opening for placement next to my BBI Sherman. Since I already have several Gates and Solidos already on display, anyone who wants the Gates (which I actually prefer to the Solido SAS, but second to my 'covered' Solido), you can hav...
