Well I think that anyone who pays $100 for this thing is driving up the price and driving the people who can’t afford it out of the hobby. I’m sorry to say it but it’s like a bunch of drug addicts dying for a fix and will pay anything for it. I bet this thing costs $10 per unit to manufacture. I kno...

Love the plane but I think and a4 or a6 would do better in sales.
I still can't understand why an a4 has not been made. It's small and the repaint opportunities are great. Even the Blue Angles scheme would be a nice selling point.

Actually I enjoyed looking at the rest of the line on the back of the box as well as the carded figures. Many times I would look and see something I didn't know was out.

Yea $70 would be a better starting point in my opinion. I can't recall any company starting out with with an overpriced (again just my opinion) product then lowering the price. I would think starting with a lower price to generate interest and sales volume is more in line with reality. I have never ...

Glad to see them up and running. I can't wait to see some new stuff however I would love to see the marketing research on this one. I doubt they did any at all at this price point. This repaint my fly over seas but I think it will crash and burn here. The F14 did OK because it was new a lot of peopl...

www.almansur.com/jollyrogers/jollytomcats.htm The decal sheets should come with photos of the real f14s to aid in decal placement. there are 2 schemes. One solid gray the other 2 toned gray.

Gloss is key when laying decals. I polish the area where the decal will go. This way I don't loose any detail. Whenever using a set or sol position the decal quickly and don't touch it. It will wrinkle-up like a raisin but smooth out as it dries. You may want to touch it but don’t do it. Once you ov...

Snake that sounds like a challenge to me. I would maybe have the rigging come with the plane but let the costumer put it on. You would, however need well written instructions, something these companies are not well known for. There are many wood models that do this. Its not hard.

If anyone is intrested only modex 200 and 201 only has this paint scheme. After 1984 all aircraft went to tps (tactical paint scheme or low vis) with the exception of the CAG (wich is represented by most models of the f14) and one other aircraft in the squadron. I don't and never did like the “clown...

If the base color is molded goast grey then I would get 2000 grit sandpaper from an auto store or walmart. Start with that with back and forth motion (lightly). Go to 1000 or 600 if needed. 2000 will polish it a bit but so what in the end you can put a flat overcoat on it. Before you do that do the ...

The easy liftoff will remove the paint a layer at a time. It works so slow it may become frustrating. It also removes decales so be carefull. I would keep it away from any decaled area because the paint (spot) is under it. If anyone does 1:18 decals, now the time for some f14 markings. I don't have ...

Gentlemen, This paint fix will cost you about $12 and a little patience. All you need is pollyscale easy liftoff. I use this on all the 21 planes with fingerprint weathering. I removed nose art and some kill flags, removed numbers on aircraft ( changed the 29 to 23 on first gen corsair). It works ve...

I'm sorry folks but I was a handler in the navy and worked with cats in the 80's to early 90's. They are tom cats (tigers) not leopards. I've been using the metalizer paints for years Black Lion is absolutely correct. Do not top coat them! You can polish the aluminum matalizer almost to a chrome-like appearance and ruin it with the top coat. The real trick to this stuff is to start with a very smooth polished surface. That being said...
