Re: ALTAYA MILITARY VEHICLES HAVE FINALLY ARRIVED IN U.S.

I've bought a couple (dealer-member above is highly recommended), and am so very pleased that this line finally made it stateside. I have also been buying the Warmaster version of many of these same molds which seem to mainly have a heavier weathering and maybe extra paint details and some different...

Re: Prices Way Down On E-bay

1:18 is not hot with releases. That sometimes leads to a slow down in interest in collecting that scale. Space is a big one as well. Hard to display more than a couple of these without them taking up the whole room. A lot were bought by collectors (not openers) as well, which means that there is a s...

Re: COMING SOON : NEW, 1:32 GERMAN PARATROOPERS

Mexico is a great idea, never thought of that one. Sadly none of the paratroopers are holding FG-42's. None are wearing covers or netting on their helmets and only one guy has his jump smock open. Besides all that, they are a fantastic complement to the old Airfix set and much better sculpted. Plas...

How many of these paras will have an FG42? The original photo looks like just one?

They just need to start making this stuff in MEXICO. Solve two problems at once that way.

Re: NEW FORCES of VALOR 2013 PREDICTIONS

72 wise, the open cab truck and T-34/76 with the hex turret are pretty nice for being just variations on their previous releases. I've been hoping they would do a Marder II based on the pz. II chassis, but instead they just keep popping out Wespes.

Re: is forces of valor going out of business?

Real trouble began when their WWII line got dumped by Target. The modern stuff was okay, but the WWII had a lot more diverse stuff.

I just hate the fact that their 72 armor line stuff is now priced at $30 a pop! That what we were paying for the 32 stuff 5 years ago.

Wow...that's a new one to me. There's no way that turret could rotate fast enough to make that a useful AA setup.

Better write him and tell him to buy some Dragon kits, and start building knock-offs of all those early/rare versions of their prebuilt Dragon Armor line, and make some serious bank.

Re: What WW 2 Armor Series Should Be Next ? Or E-10 full Bui

Seriously give me the Hetzer over an E-10. It was the most heavily produced German tank destroyer of the war. Same basic idea as the e-10, boxy, simple shape for the superstructure, and the running gear could then be used to create any number of the 38(t) series, like the Marders, Flakpanzers, aufkl...

Re: Just About Priced Me Out of the 1:72 Scale Market

I can only rationalize up to about $30 for a nicely finished 1/72 tank.

The new $35+ prices on the M18 Hellcat make me sad. But not sad enough to buy it, just sad enough to wait around for a $20 Alataya/Warmaster/whatever.
