Just got mine!!!

Last night I come home from a hard days night...ummm I mean work...and there is this brand new BBI Corsair in my office... So I promptly pull out my Pappy to compare it with BBI's. I really wasn't interested in another Corsair but I have to say I definitely like the detail better on the BBI but not ...

SWEET!

This isn't that surprising..in fact a logical move. We've all speculated in past posts that this was either a good idea or was going to happen.. (see last Post on the Gunther Rall 109G thread)...I'm very glad...and yes some re-paints or re-do's like a Rudel Stuka or a Yeagar P51..the list of legends...

Desert 109G?

Andrew perhaps that Desert version isn't so far away now? If they stay with the Aces trend we could see a Hartmann, Barkhorn and even that Hans-Joachim Marseille one in the re-paint future? Any new updates on the Me262 or Me110?

Interesting spin on this topic from pictures to how our "significant other" responds to our hobby. My wife has been great..and keeps an eye out for anything WWII aircraft related. I currently have 10 planes of which 6 are hanging in the office at home among other related stuff. I recently bought the...

actually not a bad marketing idea....... you get the reactionary buyers who purchase right off the bat!....then nickle and dime us with re-paints all leading up to the big ticket...in short they get us to buy more than one of each plane...brilliant i must say! I'm not a sheep...I'm a lemming!...ther...

Hartmann
Barkhorn
Rall
Krupinski.....etc.....
just from a logical and recognized stand point?

Question for any of you guys who already have the Graf ME-109-G.

Do the wing cannons/pods come off ,or are the permanent? I was thinking of breaking down and buying one and doing a Desert Afrika paint job on it?

Thanks

Pleasanton California

I was just at the Pleasanton WalMart and they had the following:

FW 190-D
(4) New NO.12 versions looked very cool and I was very tempted
(4) Chevron's

And as IMMEWW2 had said yesterday...one each of the 1:32

ME 109 Tropical
ME 262 No.7
P51- Big Beautiful Doll
and they all looked pretty cool too!

I Agree avaliable space is becoming a premium now

I just bought a ME 262 1/32 scale...from Walmart..and although it doesn't have the excitement of the 1/18th stuff I can see the better possibilities of many more aircraft dog fighting from my roof...it is a real issue...but the cost of those Corgi aircraft is rather hindering....

Pappy Signed Book!

Thats a jewel!... I have a friend who has an old (put together) model where he had Pappy sign the wings. He said that Boyington thought that was a great idea and that he had never signed wings before... both those items are worth a mint!...or priceless to the collector themselves. Teamski, very cool...
