I remember those sets. I had the D-Day invasion set and got it from Children's Palace. It's been quite a while but if I remember correctly, my set had the 2 tan 1/72'ish scale B-17s that had retractable landing gear and green "camo" stickers, Airfix US soldiers for both sides, 2 green P-51s, 2 silve...

Hi Cabe, Wizards of The Coast changed the A&A minis scale about 2 years ago if I remember correctly. The first set of the upscaled vehicles (2.0) is called 1939-1945 and is a re-scale of the more popular vehicles that came out in the first 5 sets - Base Set, Set II, Contested Skies, D-Day, and Reser...

1/32 Folgore Landing Gear Question

After months on re-decorating the family room I was finally able to break this bird out to assemble it as I had ran out of room. My question is, where do the struts for the main landing gear rest? I do see a tab where it appears that it would go and I'm assuming that the strut would go on the side o...

I found several set B's in on of the TRU's in my AO last night. Nice sculpts. Definately worth the $5.00. Cruizin, What rules do you use to game in this scale? I made up some rules with my son a while back but I would like to find a published rule set that works better. I find that Crossfire works ...

The Toys R Us in Columbus has more Jagdtigers in stock between them than was actually produced by the Germans in WWII. I just wish that those Pnzr 38s and Marders show up soon. Although I did see a new FOV StuGIII w/o skirts but it contained a 4 man set - 2 were crew and 2 were riders.

I got to go to another Toys R Us yesterday and found tons of Set A. :D Now I have 4 of each of those and will be doing some wargaming today with some long time friends. I noticed that these new Germans are noted as Set VI. Shouldn't they be Set VII???? Set 1 and 2 came in the large playset, Set 3 ha...

New 32X German Figure Sets

Knowing my luck, this has already been posted on here but I'll post it anyways. I found Set B of the German Series VI at Toys R Us. They are the same Germans that came with the Firefly set. Set B was the only set that had and there was a ton of them. Set B contains the kneeling/shooting soldier, the...

New 1/144 Airplanes

When I was out "window shopping" yesterday I saw some new 1/144 airplanes in Toys R Us. There's a new twin pack with the ME-262 and a Spitfire. I almost bought it but the Spitfire was PINK. I'm going to wait for a more "traditional" paint scheme.

I found the Hungarian 190 at Wally's last weekend. I really, really like this one although I'd love to have a more familiar paint scheme - Priller's or Schnell's would be nice.

My Fireflys and Priests are plastic as well. The last metal vehicles that I've bought by them were the two German trucks/halftrack trucks. I just received a Porche turret KT from BatCat and noticed the lack of weight on it. We do need new tanker figs too.

If you're going to buy any of the A&A Minis, buy them by the case. There are 24 Rares to collect. A case will give you 2 of each common such as the Mosin-Nagant rifleman and the Arisaka rifleman, 1 of each uncommon piece such as the Sdkfz 251 or the T-34/76, and 12 of the 24 rares. A case makes it a...

Re: New Axis and Allies Sets ?

I saw an ad in the latest WW2 magazine and they have a new series of A&A called "1939-1945" or something like that. I was thinking the pieces may be repaints of earlier miniatures. Anybody have any intell on these yet? I was also looking to build a 3D battle map(grid) for the A&A. I recall some one...

All of my 1/48 are diecast metal and sitting in curios but I think that this Tony will be an exception to the rule.

Now if they will make this same exact one in 1/32 I'll be a happy guy.

I have several of both and they are worth the money. Although I've never painted my, I'm sure a coat of Krylon Fusion, some weathering, and rust marks would really bring out their charm.
