Re: What is the Scale of this figure?

Seems McF goes out of his way to avoid making 3 3/4 inch figures. I just don't get it. Even when his toy company is going down the toilet, he still won't make figures that are the most popular scale. He does and it is intentional. He has some kind of irrational dislike of 3 3/4" figures and GI JOE ...

Re: Poll: the future of 1/18 and prices

interesting comment. Something that i guess has to be factored in is that this is a bit of a re-tool. The windows, the addition of the mini guns and nose radar and i believe a couple of other small changes. And i suspect this is a pretty limited run (2000 maybe?) so the cost of re-tooling has to be...

Re: Poll: the future of 1/18 and prices

The comments regarding the upcoming BBI Black Hawk re-tool's price have me wondering how willing people are to accept new and much higher prices for their 1/18 in future. While I would pay these kind of prices for something brand new (like an A-10), I don't believe this is going to fly for the Blac...

Thanks for the details. I didn't realize there were that many Red Skull figures out there. I believe I favor both the SDCC version (never got one) and the first (Grey coat) version from the Cap line.

Re: Pirated 21CT...that many?

Yes, I think sadly the odds are quite good that Grilledcheese has nailed it. Worse, I suspect it is likely that All Go would rather see *no* product on the market rather than have Chinese factories use those molds. What we have here is a snowball rolling downhill. All Go has a very limited window of...

Re: pre-order JSI F-104 "Boelcke"--$139.95

I couldn't get rid of these German-livery F-104's a few years ago, so the idea that someone will be buying these up at $140 seems ludicrous! It appears to me that Historic Aviation is behind this one, I have a feeling they will regret it.

Re: Badcat on 1/18 market

I bought exactly half of what I bought of the F-18 when it was last released a few years ago. Back then, I was not taking pre-orders, so I won't have a good gauge on sell-through comparison for a few months. Back then, I had that F-18 inventory for a good 5-6 months so I will be interested to see ho...

I know to Algo it’s just another bump in the road but to their customers it’s getting a bit frustrating. We saw a huge reissue of items shortly after they died and now everything that’s coming to market they are fighting. I just want to know what’s going on. From a buyers perspective it’s hard to k...

Most eBay sellers keep the quantity available under 10 to imply limited availability and as you can see that marketing strategy works. :)

My understanding is that these 88's are old factory/warehouse inventory (tan versions) that are actually being repainted grey, and maybe some that had never been painted and are now being painted grey. We'll have to see which or if both is the case if some of you guys buy some off of eBay. This woul...

Re: SUPER DEAL!!!!- FOV U.S. figs !!

I don’t think that’s right. There have been many good deals in the past especially when companies clearance things. Years back when 21C dissolved one etailer was heavily discounting items. I have gotten many great deals and never thought twice about them. The difference in that case is that more wa...

Re: SUPER DEAL!!!!- FOV U.S. figs !!

It should have been clear to all right from the beginning that such a low price represented a mistake that likely would not have been honored. The vendor should have just canceled the orders rather than sending everyone random sh*t thinking that would somehow fly - clearly an inexperienced e-tailer ...

Re: Are 1/18 scale figures dead

Maybe I am pessimistic but I think that manufacturing is afraid of the economy and they don’t want to be caught with their pants down and invest big $ in any tooling. Therefore I think all we are going to see is remakes of the same old stuff that is cheap to make. This is correct. It is a) the econ...

The Assassin's Creed figures are due out until at least June so there probably won't be final production pictures for several months.

BTW, due to a site crash over the weekend I've lost the Crysis 2 and Assassin's Creed listings. They will be up by the end of the week.

Re: Super Cobra - Snake - how rare/value

The Snake version of the Super Cobra is the one that shipped to Wal-mart stores.

The camo version shipped to specialty retailers. To my knowledge, there was not any crossover there, but I could be wrong. Assuming I'm accurate, then the Snake version probably saw a larger production run?
