No problem, guys, but I have been dealing with a lot of folks lately who do not understand the concept of NOT SHIPPING something, no matter how clearly I lay it out, someone will contact me and say "how much for shipping to East Boemfunk, TN" or something like that. Gets a bit frustrating, so I try ...

Folks,
Planes are sold/gone, TTT picked them up a few minutes ago, a smooth transaction. And a pleasure to meet the man as well. Thanks for all the inquiries others have sent, sorry to disappoint folks that I didn't have any more planes to sell.

Hey guys, thanks for the kind words, really! Best shot for pics of my 2 41' Fords that I used to own half of each would be at my old unit's site, in both the motor pool section and the event pics section to see them in action: http://www.9thsspanzer.com The Ford 3 ton was the 2nd most produced and u...

Opel Blitz Alternative
For those interested, finally a Ford 3-ton truck has hit the market that resembles the one used by the German military in WWII. http://www.3000toys.com/catalog/item_detail.aspx?itemfind=HIGHWAY%206150746 Highway 61 offers a 1/16 scale '40 Ford 3 ton split window that is just begging for a repaint. the running track on the opels are based kinda on the Bren carrier system least on the Sdkfz.4....PzWrs might have a beefed up suspension. http://www.missing-lynx.com/gallery/german/maultier_jochemkl2.jpg can't tell much on the running gear here. That is 100% correct. However, most people think tha...

Here are my shots from the event, with an obvious bias towards the 9th SS' reenactment area and equipment. http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y80/9thWaffenSS/9th%20Reenacting%20Pics/2008Reading/ Overall, a pretty good show, hot as blazes, but the public really liked our display, so its all worth it in...

A wise move, buying now to avoid the "discontinued" premium that these pieces attract. I own a lot of the pieces you have from K&C, including the Grille, Wespe, Afrika Tiger and Mk II, Hummel, 10.5 CM howtizer, Katyusha truck, Gepard, RSO, DAK Stug, and others. Man, they are nice pieces. It is defin...

Re: Took the plunge, bought some high end stuff yesterday
You talkin' aboot my Dragon Armor Hummel in 1:72? Or are you referring to Jagdpanther's K&C Hummel? 'Cause I can't afford high-end stuff like that  Yup, methinks you're referrin' to Jagdpanther. Bad Jagdpanther! Haha, j/k. Silly me, yes, you are correct! I fixed the original post. Proper bla...

Yeah, the Elephant is really nice, I might have to add that to the "wish list". I am currently looking at the Gepard and Raupen Schlepper Ost as my next "must haves" along with the Grille...I have a FOV Elephant on pre-order, but I think the K&C one might have to find its way into my collection too....

Took the plunge, bought some high end stuff yesterday
I attended a toy soldier show yesterday in Seacaucus, NJ, with my two boys. A nice show, lots of vendors, good quality stuff there. Anyhow, after agonizing a while over the decision, I decided to branch out from my 21st C and FOV collecting, and purchased a Hummel from King & Country and a 222 from ...

I dunno, the S2 paint schemes on the Hetzer and Marder just don't do it for me...I think they look fugly...Not sure these will find a way into my collection, I might have to see them in person to decide. Having the same TRU/Wal-Mart problems as everyone else it seems, I am just resigning myself to p...

My former reenacting unit attended the event as particpants last year for the first time. We brought out most of our equipment and vehicles and had a great time. We hope to have our Tiger replica there again this year if we get our mechanical problems with her sorted out in time, as well our our Stu...

Just as there are U.S, reenactor groups there are also German reenactor groups and Brit and Canadian, Italian and whatever floats your boat groups. The German groups do a lot of shows with military vechicle groups. The South Jersey German group has a collector who bought a Tiger mock up (a T-34 wit...

Agreed, pics would be nice! I was there from Wednesday through Monday, both setting up/breaking down and as a participant. It was a really good show. The weather for visitors to the show was hot, but dry. Not so for us camping out there, we got rain each day, but only AFTER the show had ended for th...

Well, we'll be there is Dot-44 camo and smocks, but you are right, officially, no SS units are supposed to attend. However, we're going as "Cannons On-Line" the business name of one of our unit member's, and that is how the powers that be are letting us skirt the rules. Yep, Fri-Sun, June 1-3. Shoul...

Just an update, regarding the smoking condition, we cleaned out the fuel filters this weekend, seems like 60+ years of accumulation had been sitting in them, she runs much smoother and cleaner now. Still need to do a ring job on her, but for now, she's much improved. Come see her at the Reading Air ...

Well, like the real military, LOGISTICS are the key. We are fortunate that many of our unit members have large pickups or SUV's with towing capacity and decent sized trailers. We have staged most of our stuff about an hour or so from Reading, and will be moving it prior to the show. In addition, we ...

We'll be pretty easy to spot-We'll have a large collection of German 1:1 stuff, including the SPR Tiger 1 Tank replica, a 251/9 halftrack, a bunch of trucks, kubels, artillery pieces, flak and pak guns, etc. Other stuff we're bringing will i...
