IS-3 kit

If I remember correctly, it cost over $300 when it was new. For the resin and mold its not an unusual price especailly at $200. But like you all have said, why an IS-3? If it was an IS-2 I would have bought at least one.

Very nice!

You've got a great start there!

For tracks, I might look at a 1/35 Panzer I or Panzer II kit. I don't know if they're too narrow or not though.

Very nice!

It looks like that Jagdpanzer is coming along nicely. Thanks for the pics. Normandy, I always enjoy seeing your work ... makes me want to start up customizing again. Maybe I'll find time around Christmas ...

I've done some scratch-building/modifying in the past but have tapered off in the last couple of years. I still have a Bulldog that I would like to convert into an M18 Hellcat but the time and energy to do so are not there at the moment. It takes a lot of time to do a quality build but it sounds lik...

Not to beat a dead horse

I'd forgotten about this thread about Peiper. I recently read The Longest Winter about the 18 Americans who held up Peiper's column during the Battle of the Bulge ... a GREAT read. p255-6 mention's the medals in a full chamber pot story and Peiper is said to be the instigator. That said, this may be...

1/16 Chinese M26 Pershings

Sorry if this is old news but I ran across some of these on ebay and hadn't seen any posts on this site about them. Has anyone on the board bought one? Are they any good? I know they are not going to be up to Tamiya standards but they're a heck of a lot cheaper than the Tamiya ones. Too bad everybod...

Charger

Alas Kamikaze, I had to sell my beloved car last summer to pay for a larger house in a nicer neighorhood. The old neighborhood was going downhill fast and after 2 years of gang activity, drug busts, and shootings on my block, I felt it was the car or my kids. I miss the old girl quite a bit but I ca...

Yeah, that's the place. I just moved here a little less than a year ago. Much nicer than my previous neighborhood closer into the city.

Pre-production Winter Hayloft on ebay

P51, I hope this doesn't go against board policy but I wanted to advertise this piece here as it is highly unusual and some of the board members who might be interested may not see it otherwise. I am running out of room for display of all of my XD items and am really more of a wargamer than a collec...

You got a great deal if it looks as good in real life as in the photos. I'm sure a lot of time went into making that vehicle.

Chargers

Kamikaze, the 68 - 70 Dodge Chargers are a blast to own and drive. Personally I wouldn't change one it into a General Lee clone ... there's enough of them out there already IMHO. Try to get a 440 if you can't afford the Hemi. I had to sell my 440 Charger to help pay for a new house. I've already sta...
