It's a simple equation, not a 3rd degree polynomial - if it looks cool it'll sell. Period.

This whole argument regarding the F-5 can be applied to the F-104. Cool plane but was it the best choice? You sell what looks good to the kids, again, like it or not. My son kept saying "get the one with the pointy nose...".

I did.

How do any planes (cars, trucks etc) get sold? The kids walk down the isle and look at what's cool. The F-5 meets that bill. If the F-104 can be built, than why not the F-5? The first F-104 I saw was (like many of you) the German Marine version. I think we can all agree that a better, more popular c...

I'd be interested in any history of the A-10 supporting Marine units. I've got to believe if there were some way to bottle up an A-10 and put it on a boat that the Marines would wet themselves.

I'll be the first to say it. It's the Phantom. Not everyone's favorite (and not wanting to start a fight here so calm down) but like it or not if you're dropping money on a call down in Vegas and the question is "pick one and only one <insert definition of large here> airplane to build in 1:18" it w...

Ok, then next question - did they clear up the canopy glass? That's my only complaint concerning their aircraft. The head sculpts are another matter I've touched upon perhaps too many times and I'll leave it at that. Not to rehash arguments but if they'd just straighten out the prop and clear up the...

Are you sure it's from 21st? Look at the pilot - he looks realistic and the rest of the accessories on the head cover, goggles and mask are detailed. I'm not convinced.

What I'm saying is that it may not be a short barrel at all. Is the rest of the barrel somewhere inside the box and do you just slip it on after you've opened it up?

Can you check the box? There might be an extension included that you just slip on the end of the barrel. From what I see on the box, the current configuration might support something like that.

Just a guess.

The KBtoys in the Citrus Park Mall in Tampa had the howitzer (towed from another vehicle - I don't remember which). I went ahead and picked up the Black Hawk ($19) before they disappeared. They also had some carded 1:6 scale accessories that included a single firearm (rifle, shotgun etc), pistol(s),...

Thanks guys. Yea, a guy can hope anyways. I built a figure last night. It was a BBI fergusun figure with Brookes head. It had 21c attachments with a PTE goggle cover on his helmet. The hands on the Fergusun and Brookes figures don't hold a weapon very well so I used the hands from the newer nightsta...

I agree with Madaloresc in that there aren't enough Germans. The ones I have now are basically chess pieces as I got so frustrated with the arms falling off I just glued the whole thing together. Now if the heads can be swapped (note I encorporated my question from earlier concerning the head swap t...

When I talk about swapping heads, my main concern is the German soldiers. The new German soldiers look pretty cool. With this, I'd like to take the heads off some of the older German soldiers that I have and apply them to the newer figures. TKO, can you comment?

Do the heads for this new series fit the bodies of the previous? Especially the German soldiers, will I be able to swap heads with the different figures?

It's pick your pain when it comes to figures. My very first 1:18 purchase was from Target and damn if I can remember the name, it was "elite somthing" (not operations or force). Anyway the figures were a little cartoonish but the weapons were right on. For the price you get 2 figures vs the single X...
