Don't forget Hobbytown!

I go to my local Hobbytown USA store often looking for Corgi 1/72nd WWII aircraft to fit on the shelf under my 1/18th birds hanging from the ceiling. I was suprised to find a very nice assortment of 21C aircraft which I've never seen before. The store manager said this is the first 21C he has ordere...

"The right stuff"

If BBi is working on the Hellcat and the Zero, they have "the right stuff" to fill my needs! However, I can think of about ten more aircraft for BBi to put on the drawing board including the P-61 Black Widow, Hawker Hurricane, de Havilland Mosquito, Junkers Ju88, Me-262 etc.

Ok so we wait

We all agree we want the Avenger to be first class. I'm sure 21C has the same goal. If we have to wait - so be it. But what is wrong with 21C just placing a post confirming the delay (or offical release through their dealers) and provide a new release date? The Avenger is known to the industry. What...

Another P-51

I agree the P-51 is one of the most popular aircraft of WWII. But at the same time, the new 21C version will have to be very very nice to displace the BBi D model. But sales of the first 21C and BBi P-51's have the market just about saturated. Suggest 21C pick another WWII aircraft and bring it to m...

Any new birds in Central Ilinois?

About three weeks ago I passed on the first P-47 Bubble Tops I found in Peoria (bad paint). I've looked for restock of the BT's and hope to find the new 109's, but so far nothing in my area. Any recons from Bloomington, Springfield, Peru? Nothing in Peoria, Pekin, Morton, E. Peoria or Washington onl...

Korean War next logical step

About two years ago 21C offered a Korean version of the Corsair. Now with the announcement of the F-86 and the Mig-15, it appears 21C can open the door to many Korean war offerings. I'll start a new room in my house divoted to Korean aircraft. It will be next to my WWII room which is getting full. T...

109G - 109E

I've seen pictures of the Galland 109E and the Hermann Graf 109G and although there are differences in the aircraft other then paint, I can't see how making the 109E/G and the P-47 "bubble top" was a good move by 21C. Discussion on the "Bubble top" moved off the front page of this outstanding forum ...

Only one Bubbletop

Mad Ewok, I when back to the Peoria W-M after reading your post to look around the corner for the Bubble tops. No luck. An employee said she set three out and only one was left. I asume the others had good paint. I also visited the W-M on University Street, Washington, Pekin, Morton and E. Peoria. A...

Painted with a broom.

I found one Silver Bubbletop (Eagleston?) at the Peoria (Allen Rd) W-M. Although I want a silver bird to go with my green PEG, this plane has a bad paint job. I'll pass for now. I'm sure I'll find a good one. No hurry! With the BBi P-51 such a nice release, I hope 21C has better quality on the Aveng...

Thanks MM

Thanks MM. I want to keep my collection as nice as I can. The 21C P-51 was not up to the standards of the other 21C airplanes becuase it was first. But now the BBi P-51 takes the "State of the Art" to the next step. Just a matter of time before we see the Zero, Hellcat, Me 262 from 21C or BBi. I can...

BBi p-51 "Killer"

What can I add about the P-51. Posts in this site have said it all. I'm going to replace my 21C "Blue Nose" with BBi's "Killer" to save air space in my hobby room. I think I'll pack up the 21C P-51 and give it to the Marines in their "TOYS FOR TOTS" collection box for Christmas.

Zero interest in the Zero!

I can't believe Roy feels there is not a collector market big enough to support the release of the Zero. How can 21C justify the Mig 15 then? An attractive paint job on a Zero will sell. If the "toy market" drives 21C, then the Zero will be accepted just as much as any other release. I struggle with...

21C vs BBi.

I think the "jury is out". After we see the BBi P-51 (soon I hope) we'll be able to judge the quality of the release. I'm optimistic about BBi after seeing BCA's photos.

The Avenger is what I'm waiting for. I hope Ski is right and the airplane has folding wings. I'll put it on a shelf to save space on my ceiling for the ZERO..... How's that for being an optimist!

I screwed up in the above post! The red nose 109G is offered by BCA not W-M. Sorry. Does anybody know what, if or when W-M will offer a 109G?

W-M and Toy Fed

I was in Toy Fed's site looking at the 109 night fighter. I found their 109G in a very attractive paint job. The pictures I've seen of the W-M 109G looks like it flew through a balloon full of red paint. If Digger is right, and the Toy Fed's 109 will be available at W-M, I'll wait.

On the P-51 band wagon

I just ordered my P-51 from BCA. I'll likely replace my 21C Blue Nose P-51 with the BBi becuase I'm running out of room. I think the 21C version of the P-51 was their first effort at 1:18 scale. There is no doubt the scale quality of all the other airplanes from 21C have been outstanding. With 21C a...

I'm glad to see the Ebay listing, at least it shows the Bubbletop is available in more places. When you see new stuff posted on Ebay, it's only days before showing up at many W-M.'s. "It happens every time".

What can we expect at TRU?

I've seen some posts indicating the BBi F-18 is showing up in some TRU's. Nothing new here in Peoria. Can we expect BBI to release all their jets and the P-51 to TRU stores? Timeframe? Thanks.

Is it too early to begin looking for the Avenger? I admit I've pulled into W-M's with the idea I might find one. It's not wasted time becuase now I can hopefully snag at bubbletop. I cover the Super stores in Peoria and East Peoria, Illinois. We have Me109's in both Candy cane and black chevron at both stores. We also have two Stuart tanks in stock at both stores. E. Peoria has the new North African sand color in new boxes on sale for $100. each. The Peoria store has the older...
