New direction from 21C?

My local Hobbytown USA store manager went to the NY Toy Show and showed me some new brochures he picked up at the 21C booth. The Avenger is on the cover and 21C admits it is the largest and most anticipated aircraft in their history. The brochure says about the Avenger, "21C designers have engineere...

Fiat?

When I saw the picture of the fighter in both German and Italian markings on 21C's toy show display, I had to go to my WWII spotters guide to figure what the airplane was. The best I can tell it appears to be a Fiat G.55. This is a good choice for 21C becuase this aircraft was fearless against the P...

Who will sell the F-86?

I'm glad to see BadCat and other "on line" retailers are offering the F-86. What is the intel on the F-86 being offered at W-M, TRU, or other "store front" retailers?

1/18 B-25 could be done

The B-25 could be done on 1/18 scale. It would have a wing span of 3.7 feet with an overall length of 2.9 feet. However, if you take these measurements and lay them out on the floor, you have a very massive airplane. That would be equal to the space of two 1/18 WWII fighters or just under 12 square ...

I recall when the P-40's and the Spitfires where new, you could find them on sale at W-M. When the Fw-190's hit the stores, discounts went away around my area. I saw lots of Fw-190D-9 sitting for months at a time. However, most are gone now in Peoria, and I think thay must have been closed out along...

I'm glad to see BCA will offer the 21C Avenger. But if it was close to delivery, (1st quarter 2006) I'm sure BCA would have it on their website. I'm beginning to think the Avenger will be harder to find then flight 19. Is W-M going to get it also?

I've been looking for months in this area's W-M's for the "Graf" 109G without luck. I was in Galesburg Il W-M over the week-end and just for giggles I walked over to the toys. Well blow me down, I found two Hermann Graf Me109's. One left.

I was thinking after assembly of my Zero. That radial engine was only about 6 feet from the Pilot and the exhausts vent behind the cowl. Add in the noise from the firing machine guns mounted in the cockpit and throw
in a Hellcat on your tail, and you had one intence environment.

Zero is well done

I put my Zero together this morning. I followed other members suggestions on the cockpit installation and turning the elevators around. The cockpit installation showed just how simple the real Zero was built. Hats off to BBi for a very nice airplane. Since airspace is a premium in my room, I'm going...

I have my BBi Corsair sitting on a shelve with wings folded. It looks great! There is also room for the 21C Avenger which I understand will come with folding wings. I also understand some of the delay in the Avenger has been quality issues. I sure hope this thing is as nice at the BBi Corsair. I'm g...

Found the Corsair at the local TRU today. This thing is really sweet. Although I have a 21C Kepfort hanging in the air space in my room, I'm getting full. Maybe a B-17 in 1:18 would be a little big, but the B-25 would be about 35% larger then the P-38. I'd guess that is about the same size as the A-10. That's not so big. How about the Junkers Ju-88, it is just a little smaller then the B-25.

Avenger must be at W-M

I think the Avenger will have to be available at Wal-Mart. 21C has said the collector market is only a small part of their business. If the Avenger is only offered at BCA, the bulk of the toy market for 21C would be missed. Even the BBi P-51 sold by BCA did show up at TRU.

Pistons and leaking oil.

You can't beat the sound of radial piston engines even in Vietnam. Bring on the "Skyraider" which spans the close of WWII, Korea and Vietnam. It was one hell of a workhorse.

Like many of you, I'm pleased to see the BBi Zero come out in the next few months. This answers many of our requests for this outstanding Japanese fighter. Good future with quality.

The recent BBi P-51 was excellent in contruction and paint while the 21C P-47 Bubbletop was mixed on paint quality. I hope the delay in the Avenger is to insure a quality product. I don't mind waiting if the paint job is 1st class. 21C, BBi and others must offer quality. Keep the products good and t...

I found a print out of a 21C promotional release of the up coming Avenger. The date of that release was February 10, 2004. Yes, Mad Ewok it is the Hobbytown in Grand Prairie. I also learned Hobbytown is buying 21C for their stores through their Lincoln, Neb warehouse. This means HTUSA can buy in volume from 21C. Bring on the Avenger!
