This Jeep is now at almost $180 and the auction isn't over. Funny thing is that an identical Jeep NIB auction was ended last night at $89 with $10 shipping. These people should really be FAR more aware of what they're buying. I can see someone not finding the one on the Danbury Mint website, but th...

Re: Occasional deals at hobbytown with 1/18
Not very often......but damaged boxes or a rattling part inside can produce a good deal every once in while. Currently, there is a north african/mediteraenean stuka with a slightly damaged box on the clearance table for 50.00. I got a Huff f-86 for 25.00 several months back with a repairable canopy...

Re: I keep passing by.......in the aisle
An underlying paranoid sense of financial uncertainty, as well as a lackadaisical attitude about new 1/18th stuff ever appearing, has me somewhat twitterpated about buying the dusty old stuff, repaints I thought to ignore. SUCH AS- the italian scheme quad 50, the m17 quad trailer, the hanomog pak 4...

I talked to the owner of Historic Aviation a few weeks ago and he told me about either a 1/18 F-16 or an F-18 that he ordered from bbi. He said the order was refunded due to labor problems, plastic costs, and other production issues which caused them to be unable to produce it. Could this be the Thu...

Removing the AT ME-262 canopy
I've been digging through my unfinished projects and came across a half finished Japanese Ohka suicide rocket. According to my blueprints the front of the ME-262's canopy is very close the Ohka's. How do you remove it?

1/18 or nothing. I have chucked away all other scales beside 1/18. The 1/18 F-16 is just beautiful for a roughly 3-4 year old plane. An 1/18 F-4 in this time would probably be jaw dropping. Shoo, I wouldn't mind a high price limited run 1/18 F-4 if need be. You 1/32 guys can go at it all you want, ...
