pcoughran, How did you tilt the rear rotor? I know you've posted it before, but I can't find it. Also, since Pickel now has the nav lights seperate, does anyone know how to size the bbi winglet lights to fit and still be clear? Do you just sand them to size then polish to get them shiny and clear?

I absolutely agree with you. In the 1:16 RC tank arena, Russia and east Europe are leaps and bounds ahead of the US. Japan started it, the Chinese copied it and now makes original stuff and the Russians buy it up. Bbi would make a killing if they made a Russian line with Hind, Frogfoot, T-72 and T-9...

25th Anniversary GI Joe brought a ton of people into 1:18 thru pure nostalgia. The updated figures led the new adult collectors looking for some updated vehicles and they all found bbi and Unimax in the stores. This is the reason those dang jets and helos have hit stupid prices on ebay. They were be...

At this point, the lack of an A-10 just seems asinine. I know Jason pointed out the reasons, but JSI threw all those reason out the window with the F-14. Seriously, is there anyone here who would not buy an A-10? How about 2, 1 camo, 1 grey? I really like the looks of that SU-27, but pocket change i...

Wow, that's tempting. They should be around $200 like all the other kits. Where is the hull MG? The kit will surely need a piece to cover it like in that picture.

Hell, I paint mine assembled. The Panzer III can be done with 2 cans of Tamiya German Gray without primer or anything. Problem is that the tools are molded on the PIII since it's an older mold, so you will need to paint them on the tank afterwards. The Tamiya Spray laquer is tuff as nails and goes o...

Very nice. Once I have all my external parts installed, I'll be going with a fictional night scheme of dark greens and adding the night vision scope on the copula. Anyone want to build me an Uhu filled with Vampyr equipped troops? :)

Heng Long is the only brand that you want in the $100 range. Make sure you get the IR version to insure you get the RX-18 board internally. Models I recommend for first timers are: Panther G (has to be the "G", HL released a panther on a tiger base years ago and they are still floating around) Jagdp...

It was nice to see the figure in there too. It looks so close to the 1:18 that I wasn't able to see the difference. So these are RC tanks? For $100 they are competitive with the JSI Panther. Yes, they are RC and they are a great replacement for 1:18 tanks if you don't mind getting your hands dirty ...

I absolutely love my Panther G! I put the Asiatam 3:1 gearboxes, stiff springs and metal swingarms on it so far and have the metal Sprocket/idler set and tension adjuster to install sometime this week. I'm not sure I will upgrade any further because it runs so well. I would say only the 3:1 gears an...

It's nice and all, but I agree about the price, and I am an armor guy.
$372.21 would get you a 1:16 Jagdpanther with metal tracks, 3:1 gears, adjustable idler and leave $50 for detail parts, paint & decals.

We know the first tank is the Sherman and we can guess one would be the KV-2. I'm really hoping for a T34 and maybe a KT for the other 2, but British would be welcome also. VsTank is probably the only way we will see British armor in the rc world

Nice one :D I'm doing an ElMod SU-152 conversion of the Heng Long KV-1 at the moment. Nev I can't wait to see one of those conversions completed. This KV is Asiatam from the fender down and weighs around 14lbs. I still run HL electronics, but I just might toss Elmod or Tamiya in there if I ever fin...

Thanks ostketten. Bill with RcCommand stated 4 new models will be announced and released any time now and the Panther G and KV-1 will be made available as kits. The kit idea certainly excites me if the price is lowered since I only keep the upper hull and electronics, then toss the rest. Too bad I'v...

Really to be able to compete with the 1:16 RC market, a 1:18 has to have details that the RC models don't offer, as it it is, you can buy a 1: 16 and trick it out with everything they offer and have a really good model and never put a battery in it. 1:18 tanks need to be really nice on the outside ...
