Welcome to the board. This could be a great year for 1:18 scale if everything hits as scheduled.

About the new 21st P-51 Special Feature?

Any guesses of the never before seen feature on the upcoming P-51 plane from 21st? It is mentioned on the Area 21 site. I'm guessing motorized prop.

Any chance of seeing any 1/32 big bombers?

Has anyone heard or do you think there is any chance of seeing any big bombers in this scale. I know there is little chance of seeing these in 1:18, but I thought the 1/32 scale might be manageable. Heck they should fit in the current 21st 1:18 scale plane boxes-so no new boxes needed.

All that's here in Central Texas are the three 32x planes found at two stores, Howard Lane, and Georgetown. TRU has nothing 32 scale and it appears they may not restock anytime soon.

What an awesome deal. I would have been in hog heaven. Thanks for the updates and now I know I'm not the only one who had a s1 190 that the strut snapped off. Can't wait to see some of the great planes coming our way. Ski any mention of an A-10?

I like the telescoping gear. Are you using styrene for the extension arm or metal tubing? Also your pivot pins, what material is that? It looks like brass wire. I have been wanting to make telescoping gear for some time now and have been working through some ideas but have not made an attempt yet. I...

Finally saw the 32X repaints at WM near 183 in Austin, they had all 3 planes, otherwise same old FW 190's s1,& s2. Not much else. It looks grim here in central texas since the stores still have product from before Christmas or have clearanced everything in the XD 1:18 line.

Question about Bbi Kiowa

I am not that familiar with this helicopter and was wondering what the large cylindrical structure was behind the engine shroud. It looks like some kind of signal light but it seems too large and I can't imagine they want to be that visible.
Thanks,

Good looking WWII figs. I wonder if they are considering a Spitfire MkIV (or whichever one has the 4 bladed prop and double oil coolers). It's in the pic behind the 1/6 figs. Probably just a backdrop but that would be a cool plane. It sure seems like they would make more WWII vehicles if they make t...

Is it made of vinyl, and if so what paint sticks to it-especially since it will be flexible? Any idea what the extra "scrotum" is for?

I suspect that the online retailers will be getting the bulk of the business in the next couple of years because they consistently get the products and can get them to you in a timely fashion. I have realized that time is valuable and I don't have as much of it as I used to with work and family obli...

Interesting stuff. I have done a few modifications to a couple of my XD planes also. It seems there is a bit of a learning curve to improve the outcome. I wish I had more experience in plastics/ molding. It would allow me to do so much more. I have motorized a P-47 Razorback and wanted to do lights ...
