Your best bet (without breaking the bank) is a Lost Squadron Avenger. Just do a Google search for "Lost Squadron Avenger" and you should be able to pick one up for $69-79.

Well if 21st Century HAD made a 1/32 B-17, kept the price down, kept quality-control up, and distributed it effectively they still would have done something brain-dead stupid to screw it up. Perhaps they would have marketed S1 as an orange Post-WWII forest fire-fighting plane, and then S2 as the mul...

Speaking of Monkey Depot's shipping, I found it interesting that adding a $39 ME 262 nightfighter to an existing order increased shipping $14 while replacing it with a $24 MIG added $21. I don't think the sizes are that different, but they seem to be "fudging" up the shipping costs on lower priced i...

I've yet to find a Hobbytown that I'm impressed with. Our first HT was obsessed with only two things, RC cars and Warhammer stuff (yes, Warhammer!). They carried some 1/32 FOV stuff (made poor choices as to what to order) that was much higher than online. It didn't surprise me when they went belly-u...

Yes, FOV's inconsistant quality (or lately consistant poor quality) will eventually put them in the same sinking boat as 21st Century. I have an early FOV enthusiast StuG III that is a work of art, as is my early Tiger II and PZ IV. And everytime I look at the Pershing I think,"Now that's NICE!" But...

Target was selling them (Lost Squadron) thru Amazon for $79 with free shipping before Christmas (when I bought one). Now I see the shipping is no longer free. BatCat also has them for $79. I really wanted a Bunker Hill but they are impossible to find for under $100. Atlantics are almost as bad, usua...

Capitalism is like a nuclear power plant; too much control and you get nothing but fizzle, but not enough safeguards and it becomes toxic. Once these jokers in Washington forced the banks to relax their lending rules in the late 90's they effectively exposed the nuclear control rods and let it run o...

It sure looks nice, but a 2 1/2 ton truck for more than a FOV Flak 88? Sorry, I'll pass on that one and wait. If and when 21st does their version (if they do as good of a job as they did on their Opel trucks) I'll be happy (and have $40 left in my pocket).

TKO, I finally laid hands on a 38t and 21st should be proud. And from what I've seen of the Hetzer and Marder pics, they should be doubly so. My faith in 21st is restored.

Yes, I still prefer the FOV Sherman because it looks like a steel tank instead of a plastic one. Why it took FOV so long to get the OD color right on it I just don't understand, especially since their Pershing was perfect.

If they kept the price below $50, preferably below $40, they would sell like 21st wouldn't believe................. The B-17 is one of those planes that catches even the non-aviation fan's eye.

Neither Sherman was as good as they should have been, and why we've had such "winners" as M41 Bulldogs and Command Cars (I own both) while no improved Sherman (or Hellcat, or M10, or M5) is beyond me.

Overall, when it comes to the planes, I agree. While I dearly love my 21st Stuka, FW 190, Spitfire, and P-38 (I own 5 others too), my 4 BBI planes (Hellcat, Corsair, Mustang, and Zero) are even better. But let's also remember that without 21st there almost certainly never would have been a quality B...

Corsair Help

Just got a Daisy June and she puts my old 21st Century Corsair to shame. I must admit I've folded the wings so I haven't tried to get them to fit tight, but the tail wheel is just a hard push to get it to lock. I was afraid of breaking something but after I carefully looked at the inside design, I g...

STUG III

Well color me appalled. The earlier versions of the STUG III, of which I own an Italy tan one (Enthusiast), are among my favorite. Even the early Action Grade ones looked "decent" but today I was in a TRU and saw an Action Grade STUG III that looked as plastic and cheap as the worst 21st Century has...

I'll take McFarlane's stuff in ANY scale. I already have a dozen of the modern soldiers. At $10.99 they were a steal, they even put Dusty Trail figures to shame in quality. And now they're finally going to do WWII (I hadn't heard that)! Now I can die in peace......

Marder III

If it actually looks half as good as the pictures I'll be first in line to get one. I must admit I'm surprised that they didn't do a Hetzer first, since the enclosed top of a Hetzer would require much less detail. Good job 21st! (now let's see if TRS or WM actually STOCK them).
