Re: Skyworks Fw190A Conversion
Here she is finally completed. I was actually done a couple weeks back but I noticed one of my Fw-190s had an early version canopy! This was Michalski's---I have 2 of them and one has the late blown canopy while the second has the early version. Has anyone else noticed that? Had to swap out canopies...

Pickelhaube's 1/18 King Tiger for sale
Having clearly gone back to collecting only 1/18 aircraft I think it is time for me to give up my last remaining and favorite German armor! I have 2 of these 1/18 King Tiger resin kits from Pickelhaube that I would like to sell and would like to break out close to even with them. First I will try he...

Re: Skyworks Ki 61 Tony
I had no problem with the accuracy, fit and finish of his Fw190A conversion but it's a big difference between that and a full build. I believe these started out being hand built by an enthusiast but once things got going and he got outside help he was over his head. Not trying to defend him here, if...

Skyworks Ki 61 Tony
Well, after sitting in the basement all these years, I am finally about to begin with my SkyWorks Ki-61. Thought I would start with a shot of the shipping box. Although it looks pretty good detail and proportion wise-the fit, softness/warpage of resin, and general "wacked out engineering" will make ...

I would be interested in a Hurricane also. I wouldn't argue if you made something for it to dogfight like a Macchi C202. HINT HINT

Crazy Kraut;
We could probably work something out. Postage to Germany will be the killer here. I'll let you know after I do (or not) the blades.

Re: Skyworks Fw190A Conversion
Finally was able to make the resin copies of the Merit Fw190A spinner. Used the Alumilite kit from Hobby Lobby and they came out great. Next step will be to copy the propeller blades or use the blades from the Fw190D and sand them down to shape. Probably try that first http://img.photobucket.com/alb...

Re: Skyworks Fw190A Conversion
Did not know about the tail wheel---after all these years! Scared me to death but with a great yank I got it to pull down. It sits much better now. Yes, I really like the Sturm paintjobs. Wish Merit had chosen a much more "tough" scheme for their version out of all the many, many available! May have...

Re: Skyworks Fw190A Conversion
Here is how she stands right now with a coat of future and awaiting the final matte clearcoat. Going to try and cast a propeller and spinner from a Merit Fw190A. Will see how that goes as I have not cast very many parts and the shapes will not be easy for me. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v638/n...

Skyworks Fw190A Conversion
Staying on my roll here! Dug up the Skyworks Fw190A conversion. Fit and detail is good. Cut off the tail extension and starting to add details for a Fw190A-8/R2 Sturmbock version. I also bought 2 of the WWGR21 wing rockets from Nick at Anyuta. Still deciding on what paint job to do, probably from JG...

Pickelhaube's P-36
Was cleaning out the basement last week and found my unbuilt P-36 conversion from Mathew from 9 years ago! Put a couple hours in every night and am this far. Was a blast doing it up as a Vichy Hawk, but the stripes were giving me fits! A bit more work and she will be completed---hope you all like! A...

Re: 1/18 FW-190A?
Some other areas needing improvement I've noted are: cockpit (in progress) armored canopy "blinkers" (sturmbock) side armor (sturmbock) wheel wells bulges on the upper wing for the added outboard armament adding side vents to the engine cowling ETC external stores rack maybe some kind of engine fac...

Re: 1/18 FW-190A?
I'm with Mike. I have the same Skyworks conversion but really need a FW190A spinner. Could you make this Nick? Purchased your WGR21's and they are really great.

How about a FW190A spinner and prop? But mainly the spinner!
