Thanks for the info. One animated scenario that I saw was 4 Shermans against a Tiger. The only way the Shermans could compete was to divide up and hopefully, one of the Shermans could get a rear shot. I do have a book on tanks, The Illustrated Directory of Tanks of the World - From World War I to th...

I too, thought it odd that the Panther was not listed. Almost every book I read lists either the T-34, or the Panther, as the best all around tank of WWII. What I want someone to do is do a computer simulation of tank vs. tank, using several scenarios, i.e. open countryside, bad weather, etc. If we ...

Dragon 1/72 "Battling Bitch" & Jagdpanzer IV L

Guys, I'm really not trying to dominate the postings, just so happens I've come across a lot of stuff I think the forum would be interested in. So, please tolerate another post. I got my 1/72 Battling Bitch and all I can say is "wow!" The detail is superb! This is one of their best, in my opinion. W...

I clicked on it, and mine wouldn't go either. Just go to the historychannel.com and you should be able to click around and find a list of topics, then click on "wars." Or, google Michael Wittman and you will see some listings with this URL.

Todd,

I just did some "family tree" research, and to my amazement you and I were separated at birth! Can you believe that! If you get that second one for a Christmas present what better person to give it to than your long lost brother? Did I mention that we are twins?

All of these tanks were pretty impressive. It is interesting to note that there were not any "weaknesses" mentioned during the special - at least I don't remember them - I could have missed any criticism, since I was probably looking at my tanks with a magnifying glass, esp. 1/144. Also, these tanks...

I am going to give the "answer" Sunday night. It looks like only a few people are interested in voting, even though there were over 200 people viewing it. How about an educated guess? Interesting. Anyway, Sunday night I will post which tank the Military Channel said was the world's best.

Dragon 251 Half-Track, Riveted version

A "riveted" version of Dragon's 1/72 half-track, 251 ausf C, is listed as a pre-order at Pete's Collectibles. It also looks like it has a different rear machine gun, although it might be just the angle of the picture. I haven't seen this listed anywhere else, and it is not on Dragon's site. Hmm. Che...

A Startling Discovery!

While admiring my Tiger I tanks, I made a startling discovery! If you have the Dragon 1/72, # 60021 Tiger I tank, you have the exact tank included in the Limited Edition "Tin" Michael Wittman, Villars Bogage, except for the number on the turret. The one in the tin sells for ca. $150.00. C'mon Dragon...

I held off from buying the Cyber-Hobby Tiger I, but, thought I would get it because of the unique camo. Does anyone have this? If so, what do you think. And lastly, has anyone ordered from Dragon Online when the item is listed as "waiting list." I have pre-ordered from them which took months. So, I ...

DomiUK - You caught me! I thought I would slip under the radar, but no! But, if we are going to have 50 Tiger tanks, how about a Porshe? I'll try not to do it again. Now, a PZIV would be nice. But, I must admit, I do love the Tiger tank . . ."I love it. God help me, I love it so."

Great Price on Dragon 1/72 60035 and 60036

Diecast Direct has the 1/72 Challenger II, 60035 and 60036 on clearance for $5.00 each. The 60035 is one of my favorite Dragon offerings, even though I don't usually collect modern armor. Check it out.
