Photos of Warbird Aircraft throughout the history of Aviation. Warbird aircraft are mainly defined as vintage military aircraft now operated by civilian organizations or individuals. The term is often associated with World War 2 aircraft in particular, but as a general rule can be applied to any aircraft that is now retired. Warbirds include any veteran military aircraft from World War 1 through the Vietnam War such as the Sopwidth Camel, PT-17 Stearman, P-26 Peashooter, P-40 Warhawk, T-5 Texan, TBM Avenger, B-25 Mitchell, T-33 Shooting Star, OV-10 Bronco, F-4 Phantom, F-101 Voodoo, and a massive list of others.
