1/18 XD Custom Update Issues Solved !!!!

Post by pickelhaube » Wed Apr 29, 2009 1:44 pm

Panzer Arm seems to be having issues so I thought that I would post this up date.

A lot of guys have prepaid me for flak guns , M-10 and Sdkfz 222.

I also have a few orders of older offerings out there that I need make.

I am in the middel of getting the Pavehawk project out and it is SLOW going.

We are offering painted kits and this is TAKING UP ALL OF MY TIME. I am trying to finish the orders and it seems that I am going in the wrong direction

A few of you guys want the internal gun mounts. THIS WILL BE DONE IF I CAN GET DONE WITH THE PAINTING. Matt and I have been addressing this so hopefully we have a solution.

After the internal gun mounts I will do a quicky CIP panel modification for the Humvee.

All of the CIP (standard ) are made . I just need to ship them.

All the Brit helmets orders are made. I just need to ship them.

The flak gun shield moulds are made and I have poured about 4 sets.
I need to look at the original gun moulds. Most of them have broken down because of the Wirbelwind project. But the shields look great.

The M-10 I have not gotten back on it. But I have made the master for the internal ready round rack. I will also try to do the Firefly with the M-10

After the M-10/ Firefly I will start the Sdkfz 222.

After the Sdkfz 222 I will do one of the following : Stuart , Lee/ Grant or a Jagdtiger. The poplarity of these will decide which one will be done next.

I will try to fit the Huey mod somewere in between something to get it out.I think Raqzor is sending me the hard points. Also I have been asked to do the radar mushroom thingy on top of the Apache. Would anybody else be interested in this? I think I have braught it up before but have forgottten the popularity of it.

Last but not least I would love to do another Panzer Mk-IV convertion. Either a Brummbar or Hummel. 21st panzers are getting thin . So I have been thinking of actually making thr panzer's chassy and running gear to go with the kit. I have brought this up earlier but no one commented on that. Off the bat I would say that would be a $60 addtion to the kit. Feed back is wanted about this idea.

So there you have my update. I would say this will cover the next 2-3 months. So there is plenty planned. Who said 1/18 armor is dead. Not if I can help it .

After this run of armor I may switch back to aircraft for a while. Unless there will other pieces of armor to die for.

Again the popularity of the Stuart , Grant or Jagdtiger will determine the next piece of armor.

Let me know.

Count me in also. I'm impressed with that checklist. You seem more ambitious than 21st when they annouced the Mig 21, F-4, B-25, and king tiger! I am very grateful for your contributions to the 1/18 world..

Hey Guys,

It has been said that I am not bad at custom building. Thank you for that.

But I am horrible at names. This is a problem from an early age I would see by Daddy and call him Dog.

So when ever you guys pay me via pay pal please add :

1. Your forum name
2. What you are buying
3. Make sure I have your address.
4. Also please send me a PM with your address again.

My paper work skills suck at best. So having this stuff on paypal payments maybe I will not loose it. Or get wiped out in my PM page. This happens all of the time.

Hey pick, I need an Apache upgrade in a bad way man!! Also, I just got the 21st hummer and I noticed that the three models they put out are pretty much exactly alike except for the top part, if I got you some pics of lets say: hummer ambulance, communications truck, up armored hummer, would you think about making some of these? That way, we could get a bunch of the 21st trucks and modify them instead of having the same model 10 times.

Hey Guys,

Everything that I have made has been shipped.

The Foxhole first phase Pavehawk kits are shipped. Thank you guys on the forum and off for the support.

All of ths British helmets have been shipped. Black resin

All of the M-113 kits have been shipped.

All of the misc. stabalizers and gear doors have been shipped.

Th Stuka kits are almost done except the vacuform canopies. That will be done tommorow if I do not get interupted. The newly moulded Stuka prop looks great. You guys are going to have the best looking 1/18 scale Stuka prop on the planet :D :D :D

The Stuka cannons ARE NOT DONE. I ran out of resin and it is on back order. I expected it on Monday so hopefully...

The Foxhole second phase is dead in the water because of no resin. IT HAS BEEN ON BACK ORDER FOR 2 WEEKS

The RTV is in !!!!!! I can make the moulds for the CIP panels !!!

I will try to make the 1/32 CIP panels this week. I am going to make the standard size and custom Humvee.

The flak gun is kinda on hold. As I have said before I have moulded all of the new parts and have cast a few. THEY LOOK GREAT :D But I can not check the old moulds to see if they are sharp detailed because of the lack of resin :x

I think that wraps it up.

Thanks all of you guys for the support in these trying times.

Remember when you send me paypal ,
1. Send money
2. Use your board name
3. Tell me what you want
4. Make sure your Mailing Address is on it.

The resin is in :D :D :D

Now I can get back to work on finishing the Pavehawk parts and do some mould tests on the Flak gun.

But it will have to wait till Friday. Tommorow I picked up a job at my regular work. Good for me bad for XD but I need to pay my bills

Has anybody ordered a set of Stuka cannons lately ?

I have started the new CIP panel moulds for the 1/18 scale door Humvee panels.

I have also started the 1/32 CIP panel moulds.

The Pavehawk kits are winding down and hopefully they all will go out next week. The painting of these parts has got me behind on everything.

I still have not vacume molded the Stuka canopies. But this will be done next week ( fingers crossed).

I have not done the pintels for the Sagami mounts yet but I may get on those this weekend. I am taking preorders for that now unless you guys want to see the pintel first. I will take up Razors idea about using the pintels off of the jeep.

As I have said before the moulds are made for the extra parts to the QUAD FLAK GUN and they look great. I just need to check the old moulds to see if they have any life yet in them.

Mr. Pierce has sent me the 1/35 scale M3 half track and that project is raren' to go. There has been a lot of interest in this project. I do have several preorders for the M-10 but if you guys (who have ordered the M-10) want the M-3 halftrack tank destroyer as well and want it first let me know. If not the M-10 and Firefly will be next after the flak gun.

Wrap up:

-Place your orders for the 1/32 and 1/18 CIP panels.
-Flak gun is next.
-Let me know if you intend to order the Sagami so I can push it.Preorders will be accepted now.
-Let me know if you guys want the M-10 or M3 TD first. The TD will be a little cheaper than the M-10.

That is all for now.

The Pavehawk parts are all painted :D :D :D

I will let the paint dry a couple of days then all of the orders will be shipped.

Then it is on to the Flak gun !!!!!!

Hey pickelhaube, my vote would be to do the M-10 after the flakgun.
Can't wait to get one, I know which color I'm going to paint it too.
