The word over at RCU is that release of a 1/16 RC Sherman is imminent, which I take to mean probably within the next 45 days or so, but possibly sooner. Here are a couple pics to whet your appetite, I'm no expert on Sherman variants, but this looks like a 76mm gun version. Nobody is sure at the moment if this will be a Heng Long or Matorro model, I seem to remember hearing a while back that HL was supposed to be making one, but who knows...?? My apologies for the small size of the pics, I'll try to post better ones when they become available.

Man they keep pumping 1/16 stuff out fast , and it's bigger than 1/18.
Must mean more money coming in or copy cats on Tamiya' hard work.
(in general)
This looks to have a rounded cast hull, which is a little different.
I ordered the HL Pershing and just put on the metal tracks (pain) and tested it out.
Wonder if the jagpanther will be out before.

It's already out, Bill at RC Command has an early lot that was express air freighted to him that are available now in grey or camo with airsoft or IR battle @ $150 ea. The regular shipment should arrive in a few weeks and will be priced at around $100 per unit if memory serves me.
HL Jagdpanther available here:

Mato of Canada has them up for pre-order (mid Feb. delivery I believe) and priced at about $100-$110 before shipping.

BTW, it's relatively common knowledge (at least in the RC tank world) that most (if not all) of HL's tanks are copied off Tamiya.

Alright. That Matorro jagdpanther is less than $100 American. And it comes it sand yellow. Matorro knows what they are doing. Made a grey one for the minority of buyers who don't want the most popular color, sand yellow.

Anyway, thats what I call a good price, less than $100 for either the Matorro or the Heng Long.
You know, after looking again, thats not a Matorro jagdpanther, its the Heng Long (my bad. Does anyone still say that?). Regardless, its a jagdpanther we will never see in 1/18 from 21st or FOV.

The Sherman is a cast hulled M4A1 with the 76mm T23 turret. This model Sherman appeared in very late 43 and was used by the U.S. Army as well as most Commen Wealth forces ie British, Polish,South African, Canadian etc.

That Jagdpanther looks

. Very tempted to get one, but since I'm still hoping that one will eventually spring forth from one of the major manufacturers or getting the conversion kit that the Hun is presently doing, I think I'll hold off.
