Stug, does that playset have a Sherman or Firefly in it? I'm wondering if it is a new release but I can't tell by the phone photo...
Thanks

The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100 percent.

At the closest Target (they're both pretty close to my house, only a slight difference in distance in a different direction) they had Bradleys and Abrams which oddly were still at $24.99. If they were on clearance I might pick up one of them, as I don't collect modern but they're nice pieces. But besides that everything else was dirt cheap: 1:72 figures, planes and sets. No 1:32 figures, but they had the shelf tag at clearance price. I have nothing to do today so I might just walk to Target. Skating is out of the question as it just rained.
The bad part is I won't have enough money me even if I do find something, so I don't know. I might just be lazy, stay home, wait until noon and then walk to the record store to hang out with the girl that works there.
I'd do both but they're both 2-3 miles opposite my house. So, 2 miles to Target, 5 miles to the record store, stay there for the day, and 3 miles back. Good excersise though.

I went on and on, sorry! :D
I don't have any duplicates, except for a Big Hog Corsair. Only because I bought the single one once and then the DogFight pack came out and I needed the zero. But noone ever needs a Big Hog, haha. I think everyone had their fill of Corsairs.
I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, I'd loathe ever giving up any of my planes or tanks. It would drive me nuts. I'd feel like a piece of me was missing. I'm not so OCD to where I want all the old releases NOW, but I eventually want them. I also try and get every repaint I find. If I can't find it in a store I can wait. If I find a really good deal online I'll jump on it. If it's a unique/online-only plane I'll buy it from BadCat or something.
I don't need to sell anything, to be honest I just need to get off of my lazy ass and get a job. That's the truth. But I've got a friend coming into town in two weeks, so I'm going to wait until after she leaves. I've been out of a job for 4 months or so, applied at places but never got called back. I've had some other issues as well, but that's not for here.
I just wish I hadn't been convinced to quit a really good job... I'd probably be making $10 an hour by now. Not a lot but I loved that job, I had a fantastic boss, and I got convinced that I didn't. When you want things and you don't have a job, you really start to miss those $280-$320 paychecks every week...
I miss walking into Wal-Mart, TRU or Target with $120 just for toys. I'd pick up something I really didn't need or collect just because I could, to satisfy the collecting beast.
Good times! I remember I said I'd never collect 1:18, and that's how I got into 1:18. I remember I said I wouldn't collect 1:32 armor, and that's how I got hooked...

Tman, our boat will come in. I can feel it in my bones!tmanthegreat wrote:That's just too darn annoyingtopnotch97 wrote:i can confirm 1:32 scale has reached my area. Its one thing when stores in another state have the new items, but when they are appearing in other towns to the north and south of you in your own state - but not any of the six stores in your own area - it is very frustrating. Time will tell, I guess.

I think Target has much better distribution than WM, and I have no doubt these will be all over the place in the next month. My only regret is that our beloved coupons are defunct. I was counting on those to get me through until October.

By the way, the Target Fw-190 is seen in Luftwaffe Colors Volume 5 Section 2 Jagdwaffe: The War in the East 1944-1945 page 178. There is a black and white photo and color plate. From the caption it is photographed at Chrudim in Czechoslovakia and probably belonged to SG 77.

Those look nice! The new boxes are pretty nifty as well. Will Target be 21st's saviour?!?!?!

I still say, I like to see new tool versions of the Panzer III and IV with this level of detail. Start off with a Afrika Korps PZIII!

Called 6 Targets today- 2 said they were not on their planogram, 3 did not have any and did not know if they would get them, the one closest to home had 4 Marder III repaints, 2 Sherman playsets, one Black 2 FW and one p-51 Double Nothing The P-51 had a broken prop but I bought it anyway since none of the otherstores close seem to have them)

I just wish I could find these blasted pieces of plastic junk
With six Targets in my town alone (the next nearest stores are 50 miles away north or south) one would think at least one of those stores would get in the new 21c items, especially since they are getting such wide coverage all across the country, even in my own state. Frustrating, just too darn frustrating

I hear you buddy. The Target in town is about 18 miles one way and the only other one in my AO is close to 20. I went to town for the first time in a week today. Even visiting my neighborhood (8 miles) WM is getting to be costly.tmanthegreat wrote:I just wish I could find these blasted pieces of plastic junkWith six Targets in my town alone (the next nearest stores are 50 miles away north or south) one would think at least one of those stores would get in the new 21c items, especially since they are getting such wide coverage all across the country, even in my own state. Worst part is that using the AC in the care is a MUST unless you want to be drenched in sweat and stinky when you arrive. Using the AC may not affect MPG in cars with bigger engines but in my borrowed Saturn it saps the power like mad. Tonight I drove to Target in town with the windows down since it gets much cooler after 7pm or so and the gas needle barely moved.

So I'd love to hit all the Targets and WalMarts like I used to, but I just can't do it.

I say by the first of August we will be awash in Target 21C releases. Each of my Targets has great gaping holes in their toy aisles where they will be doing some serious rearranging. I think either along with or soon after the clone wars release they will have their master plan in place.Rowsdower wrote:I hear you buddy. Nice looking Shermie and troops!!! I only have two Target's in my AO, one 14 and the other 20 miles away so I can usually only hit one or the other. Figures they'd do this now when tons of GI Joe and Star Wars stuff is coming out!

Are those US troops in the Sherman pack? I really need more Americans.
