Have not seen those before. They are really good looking! 1/12 is often associated with fantasy figures, Lord of the Rings, Sci-fi like Predator, Alien, Star Trek, etc. Here's a tank to go with them.....

Whoa! Haven't looked at Monkey Depot in a while. They've really changed their assortment philosophy. Looks like they're going all high end stuff. They used to be heavy on 1/6 Dragon figures, vehicles and accessories. Now it's Soldier Story, DID and lots of fantasy and female figures with big time prices. Much of it's pre-order stuff. I'm not a fan of pre-orders but their selection doesn't have anything I'd be interested in now anyway. I do like those 1/12 figures but I can't allow myself to get into anything else! 8)

Those are really nice-looking figures! They come across like smaller iterations of the premium 1/6 scale figures. I have a lot of 1/12 (6”) scale figures and vehicles from the Star Wars Black Series line. It is a good scale for figures (they’re large and detailed, but not too large) but larger vehicles can take up a bit of space.

I find these figures interesting, the head sculpts are great and the equipment is very detailed.
I started with 1:6 Dragon in '99 and then found 21st's 1:18 line, needless to say I've stuck with 1:18 and now
I'm running out of space. :?
A nice alternative to 1:6 and more detailed than 1:18.

Technology has allowed the detail of high quality 1/6 scale to be downsized for space purposes targeting customers just like you that want quality. If they look as good in person as in those pictures, they're amazing. Vehicles that scale are few and far between. If the figures catch on, vehicles will follow.

Hey Axis I'm like you, I can't start anything else. 1:1 takes plenty of space and along with
1:18  . But I did like the Dusty Trails 6" German...

...still have it on display.
I'll keep watching Monkey Depot and when available, I might check them out.

Plan B Toys had several 1/12 WWII and Modern lines. Nice articulation. Figures were loaded with great gear. The Brothers in Arms Airborne series, and Battle of the Bulge figures are my favorite from Plan B.

I don't see any articulation points on the limbs, yet they show different arm poses. Are the limbs bendy? Really nice looking pieces.

:?: Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought they have actual cloth uniforms on over the body which would cover the joints. :?: which was also why I thought they were so expensive. :?:

That video shows how they are very 1/6 like in detail and accessories.

If you ever consider moving up to 1/6 scale from 1/18, DON'T. If I had it to do over again I would consider these 1/12 offerings. They are a huge leap from the toy like and robot like exposed articulation of 1/18 along with out of proportion bodies and heads and Popeye arms. The Japanese figures near the end of 21st Century's run have to be the worst! Those MTF pieces are an improvement but still nothing like these 1/12 figures. I have quite a few high end 1/6 scale figures now. I've searched for bargains and have had great success--and some luck or I'd be relegated to Dragon or lower quality. If anything, they are almost too detailed. The articulation is amazing but they are hard to get into a pose you want. You just get one arm and hand where you want it and the other one falls away. You get a knee bent just like you want it and while you're adjusting the other leg, the first leg goes back straight. They have so many articulation points that the overall structure becomes limp and once you get the realistic accessories on, especially the metal items, they become top heavy and don't want to stay balanced in a pose. Can be very frustrating along with the tiny fragile buttons, snaps and straps. I've broken many straps and popped several buttons already trying to get them assembled with my male adult fingers. It can be more aggravating than threading thick thread through a tiny needle eye. A tweezers and super glue need to be kept handy.

Of course, at the polar opposite end of the attraction to 1/18, there's no mainstream complimentary selection of vehicles to go with the 1/12 figures as of yet. The figure prices are still less well than 1/6 quality offerings and the space savings is substantial. A few Jeeps, a Kubelwagen or a smaller armored vehicle would be manageable but I hate to think what they would cost when you look at 1/16 tanks and vehicles. Won't be any bargains for a while for sure. One thing to think about is diorama scenes with old 1/12 European style doll houses would be cool! 1/12 is the standard wooden dollhouse scale. Finding one in 1/18 is nearly impossible.
