Pickel I've used 1:72 aircraft decals on armor, at a model show a guy was selling
sheets of German Balkenkreuz. They're alright but...

...I'm sure 1:18 Peddinghaus would be a better chose.

I have recently purchased some Peddinghaus 1/16 armor decals on eBay for some current projects as well as revisions to a couple earlier ones. The decals didn’t strike me as being noticeably large and should work well... There were a lot of options available in 1/16 scale.

Also if you ask Ernst (Peddinghaus) he will often adjust to 1:18 for you.

Monkey Depot used to sell a good variety of US and German decal sets in multiple scales. That was a few years back but you might be able to track something down through them.

Those were the John’s Stuff decals and they were fantastic! A little tricky to work with as the decal film was thin, but done right the decals could look painted on. They are long, long out of production however... As others have said, Peddinghaus may be your best bet.
