Interesting visit today
So, a friend of mine from work is going out of town and so are her parents, so I was asked to watch their animals in the meantime. As she takes me to her parents, she says to not be taken aback by her dad's war stuff. I tell no problem as I build military models.
We go inside, introduces me, and we go downstairs to see where the dog's pen is, and I find myself in A 1/6 SCALE WONDERLAND!!!
Seriously, the guy had four rooms full of vehicles, including a scratchbuilt Stuka hanging from the ceiling. There were Shermans, Stuarts, Pz II's, Marders, Jagdpanthers, Pz IV's, 251's and 250's, a couple of SdKfz 10's, Wirbelwinds, Stug's, a Higgins boat filled with troops...
In his work area he had a SdKfz 232 and a 234 Puma in progress. Turns out my coworker put herself through college selling Dragon figures, and for eight years they were Dragon distributors. He is still active in the 1/6 community and has an annual BBQ for other collectors from around the U.S.
It's funny the things you continue to learn about people you've known for a while. I mean, I was my coworker's actual classroom assistant but then all we talked about was science and what turds high schoolers are.

Re: Interesting visit today
I have a feeling those dogs will get plenty of regular visits while they're gone!!

If anyone went to the DFW G.I.Joe show in Grapevine, TX, the fellow himself was there. He has been attending since the first one, apparently.

Great collection and pictures as well!!
The last pic is amazing, I've been wanting to do something similar in 1:18 and thought space would an issue.
I started out collecting 1:6 Dragon got up to 17 figures before I found 1:18, which I had the space for.
Still like the larger 1:6 guys....thanks for the view of his collection.

The village is fabulous. Reminds me of the one in "Fury" where they shot the SS guy that was hanging civilians after he came out of the building to surrender.

As for as figures go, impressive. As far as equipment goes, amazing. That is a passion.
Hogan barging in on Klink and Burkhalter:"I'm not interrupting anything, am I?"
Burkhalter:"Of course you are. I've never seen you when you are not interrupting."
