Is the new FOV doing anything?

Post by aferguson » Thu Apr 19, 2018 8:14 pm

aside from a handful of reissued ship models a few months ago, has the new incarnation of FOV done anything or planning on doing anything?

weren't they supposed to have released a whole bunch of armour by now? In fact, we should be hearing about all the aircraft they are going to re-release soon. All I've seen is a months old picture of a Japanese chinook on their FB page.

Hey FOV, come out, come out, wherever you are...

About a month ago, The Motor Pool posted this on their site:
"Coming up in April is the Beijing Hobby Show (April 20th-22nd) and, one week later, is the all-important Japanese Shizuoka Hobby Show (April 26th-28th). Last year, if you recall, Waltersons, the new owners of the Forces of Valor brand, showed off snippets of their refurbished line at both shows, and are likely planning to do the same thing at this year’s events...Hang in there a bit longer and we feel confident you’ll get...some of the latest and greatest military wares the hobby has ever seen."

But I share the feelings of one board member here who posted on the FOV facebook page:
"Is this going to @!#$%^& happen???!!!"

:) :( :)

Hello All,
Don't know what to tell you fellas. When last we spoke to Waltersons, they were hard at work developing the FOV series, both on the ground and in the air. It doesn't appear as if they attended this week's Hobby Show in Beijing, so their next opportunity to display their wares is in early May at the Japanese Shizuoka Show. Hopefully something will come of the opportunity and we'll get to see everything they promised would be on shelves for last year.

Oftentimes, good things come to those that wait. In this business, patience is certainly a virtue.

ok, so FOV has announced themselves in a big way. Here is a link from another forum indicating FOV's planned releases including TEN different 1/72 Chinooks, for this year.

All the years collecting 1/18 and the glorious promises we heard has made me a cynic, I guess, but wow.....I will believe it when I see it.
