Yes sir, he is the one. He took a lot of members models and their money, along with all the hopes people had at the time of having an A-10 in their collection.

Ah yes... Jack. Who found my cell phone number and called me up and 'nicely' threatened to sue me unless I removed all the negative posts about him and his company off these boards. I basically said 'Not a chance' and called his scare tactic bluff.

Alright folks this was before my time I guess, but caught my eye the way you guys are talking about it. So what was the deal with this? If you do not mind me asking, and if is to wrong to talk about I understand and will not ask anymore. Just curious.

Aracula,
Sorry you are being left out. This board has a history. If you want the complete story, search on "Skyworks" and go back to 2009 time to see the beginning. If you guys that were involved what to discuss it, please do.

You can also search "Audie Murphy" see another chapter in this board's history.

Well I will tell you.

I have probably the longest history with this guy .

To keep it short he used to do custom 1/18 scale work.

The work he did was so-so. His dad's work was pretty good. I sent a bunch of plains to him and they all came back except one.

THAT ONE GOT LOST IN THE MAIL AND I AM STILL WAITING FOR IT.

He had a bunch of planes that were 3-D printed he copied some of the projects that I was working on just to smite me ( P-40 varients and Japanese Tony )

He had these projects going and quite a few others .

He landed a good paying job at Toyota I think and just pulled up leaving a bunch of guys hanging after taking their money.

Will this was going on the owner of 21 Century Toys at the time sent him a A-10 ptototype so Jack could copy it.

That went missing . How did it go missing nobody knows.

I called the cops on him once to no avail . The cops were called about the A-10 , again nothing came of it.

He tried to sue a few guys ( or theatend to ) me included . For slandering him.

That became an awful joke because he was the biggest rip off artist that this hobby has ever seen.

I may have left some things out but that just about raps things up .

I am sure a few other guys here have something to add to this.

Good to see that we are still talking about Skyworks.

Old, deep wounds never really heal, do they.

Never dealt with him, thanfully, but an AAA asshole.

Didn't someone at the time track down his home address and try to confront him in person? Or was that 'Audie Murphy' that was tracked down? Or were those two, the same guys? All I remember is a lot of the trouble makers seemed to surface, cause months of problems, and disappear, at about the same time.
