Nice weathering job Jay on both the Spitfire and SBD. Like teebird said it makes it stand out.
Re: Lets see some of photos of your customs and conversions.
Again, just a small custom with some stuff loaded on this BBI Buggy:
Compared to what other board member can do, it's just about nothing, but I'm happy with the water soft canister I've created (I had exactly the same when I had camping hollydays). The bigger camo package is made with a part of an old t-shirt, a sponge and thread, a 1/4 hour job. But small things can add a lot, don't you think?

Way cool! I like the tan and brown variation in all the different places, really offsets the dark colors of the vehicle and pops the gear and details in the side racks! Sweet machine!

Pizzaguy's TA-183 model shown above has been proudly displayed in my study for the past several months It is an awesome and high-quality model, as good as any of the factory-built items. Thanks again, Pizzaguypizzaguy wrote: Ta183 Full Build:

Hope you enjoy these as much as I do!
BBI MH-60 repainted proper faded black with minor cosmetic work. Awaiting decals to be made into Super Six 2 from the Battle of Mogadishu.
Repainted from:
Again from Battle of Mogadishu, SFC Shughart's custom M14.
21st Century Toys M14 + Marauder Gun Runners Scope + Scratchbuilt scope mount
M41A Pulse Rifles + M56 Smartgun
The rifles are repainted Marauder Gun Runners, with decals from assorted kits, and the smartgun is scratchbuilt around a 21st Century MG42 receiver. This was made out of post it notes and LEGO bits, and was my first 1:18 scratchbuilding effort, and has inspired me to make another with Marauder's upcoming steady-gunner harness.
Tiger 1
JSI Tiger, repainted from gaudy tri colour scheme to mid war grey.
G41 + Waffen SS soldier
G41 scratchbuilt from a 21st Century K98k.
Repainted Head
This is the sunburnt version of Fritzen Osternoh, restored to a more healthy colour.

Great job on the Blackhawk/Mogadishu helicopter. Looking forward to seeing it in its Super 62 livery.

Greetings
Nate did a fantastic job on the Dauntless as I own that plane and that was a custom paint job he made for me.
Also is making me a full build TA-183 and can't wait for that. Will be a great plane. Nate does fantastic work.

Re: Lets see some of photos of your customs and conversions.
I've been working on this future Vietnam base diorama when life permits. Here is the start of a guard tower I am converting from a PTE tower. One thing I've noticed is that every photo of a tower is different from the last. Here is my version compared to a Vietnam photo. I still plan on painting and weathering mine.

Re: Lets see some of photos of your customs and conversions.
Nice! how did you make the sandbags?
Re: Lets see some of photos of your customs and conversions.
The sandbags were made using air dry modeling clay I bought at "Hobby Lobby." The clay is easy to use, but weighs a ton. I decided how big I wanted to make the sandbags and molded them with my fingers. I used the flat end of an Exacto knife to make a seam on the visible side of the bags. I made a wooden platform and positioned all the sandbags where I wanted them around the tower. Once the sandbags dried (24 hrs), I noticed the sandbags shrank a little and they would separate with almost no pressure. To avoid problems with the sandbags falling off, I pulled them apart and glued them in place. I tried different glues until I found that CA glue worked the best. Now I just have to paint the conversion.
Thanks for looking and the nice comments.

Sandbags are always a challenge. You've more than met that challenge, you conquered it!

Thanks for the comments. I'm hoping to paint the tower this weekend and show off some of the other things I'm working on for my Vietnam diorama.

Once again I´ve tried to built a reasonable custom model out of a chap mei toy, some 21st. model parts and figures and some spare parts.
I call it:

Hope you like it
This beast got an approx. length of 1 metre
If there is more interest in pics & details, let me know.

What a novel idea! Looks like something right out of "Fine Scale Modeler" magazine.
