Brummbar conversion kit

Post by Aracula » Sun Sep 04, 2016 10:50 am

Wanted to give a heads up to anyone interested. The Brummbar kit will be ready this week, if all goes well. So will be soon and can take orders on any who want one. The kit will be like the Stug kit with some subtle changes that should make it even easier to attach to your existing Panzer IV. I am learning as I go, and trying to make the kits better each time in detail, and ease of assemble.

Thanks again all who ordered a Stug Kit, and hope they turn out well for your collection.

Sounds great, which model Brummbar are you making? The one with the MG34 or without?

So you're asking early or mid/late?

I think I can actually make it where you have the choice of early, or late version with the MG 34 gun.

The mg versions also used the Stug III G cupola for the commander and the superstructure was reduced in height. Don't know if the height dropped enough to warrant changing anything so maybe nothing to really worry about. Also, after the first 60 were made they up-armored the driver's compartment and removed his hatch to put in a ventilator fan.

So, unless someone needs one of those first 60, all you really need to differentiate the two main types is to have one with a cupola and bow mg, and one without.

This is an early version I did a few years back, recently repainted and now waiting for weathering.

I generally do not like showing things before they are all the way done but I will this time just to wet some people's appetites.

Thanks fellas I appreciate the compliments. I am trying this time to add even more detail, and make it as authentic as possible. I am also making sure it is universal to fit both forms of tank hulls.

Brummbar molds are being made as we speak. In a couple days I will have enough poured to start taking orders from anyone who wants one.

Will post some pics soon of a complete kit.

Update:

Took way more mold material then I was expecting, so gonna be a little delay as I wait for more molding compound to arrive. Sorry folks

Hi Sanford

Would you be interested in doing a 1 18 Sturmtiger kit after you have finished the Brummbar kit?

Would need the lower half of a Tiger tank, but I am sure I could.

Update

Here is the almost finished Brummbar, it has a few small pieces that are not on it yet. The main gun is also just taped in atm it will be glued later on a finished kit. All three hatches open, yes this is the early version not the late, but I am looking into a way you can convert it over easy if possible.

Update:

Last mold is set, will be d-molding tonight, will start pouring main center piece tomorrow, and will be ready to start taking any orders on the kit. The kit will run 90.00 plus shipping. I am taking a little less for it as is a few less parts. It did take me over two gallons of molding material, and a lot of man hours to build. This kit I tried to add more detail to then the Stug, and also it required it as the top had a lot more detail to build to make it look right.

Anyways by Monday I will have 4 or 5 poured.

I am pouring the kits, if you are interested in one just PM me and let me know how many you are after.

The parts are coming out pretty good and should only need a little clean up work before I ship you one so should not be to long of a wait period, but again depends on quantity of kits that get ordered as this could get me a little behind.

Anyhow let me know folks, and we will get you a Brummbar to add to your collections.

Thanks

Hey all, if anyone is interested in a Brummbar kit or even a Stug kit but needs a donor tank so they are not getting one because of that. I wanted to let you know that I have one of the Chinese knock off Panzer 4s in the box still, I can sell at cost of what I paid for it if you need one.
If so PM me and we can work it out, I only have one to sell though, so first come, first serve.

Thanks All
