This is the look I'm going for, not necessarily the camo scheme. Plenty to do before I even think of paint.

Hey Maritime, how you doing on the treads? Thats the most time consuming part of the build.

I worked on the chassis and hull this afternoon....

...some sanding and primer needs more putty and sanding and it goes on.......but its fun. :)

Slow and steady on the treads my friend about 4 hours of dremel and fitting per section so far. But I mafe a pact with myself that I would get my butt in gear on this since I got back from vacation. No fenders is looking good so far my friend

I have also been busy working on one for my good friend Paul. I am about to start on the tracks, they look to be easier than the T-34's. Can one of you guys post a link back to the original build for instructions. Mine did not come with any and I think I remember Mathew saying that his build thread would be the instructions right?

It will be fun to see every ones King Tigers when finished!!

The T-34 tracks will be about 4 times easier than the K2.

Yep.

Did your version have the late long tracks or individual links ?

Yes it must be the late version, it has large chunks of track prebuilt.

I got started on the tracks this afternoon. This part of the build takes plenty of time but in the end its worth it.

...this by far is the slowest part of the build and for those viewing the post, the most boring!

Maritime, how did it go?
On my first build I put one of the track pins half way through my finger, not to smart. :P I mean, I wasn't trying.
I now use needle nose pliers.
I broke out the bubba paint, that rust-oleum camouflage non reflective earth brown.....works for me.

It was all counter top and needle nose pliers for those pins. Once I got a handle on how much I could dremel out to fit the links together things went alot faster. Im not even thinking paint till I have all the pueces prepped and the zimmerit done

Well things have been on hold this past week, my Mother-in-law suffered a minor stroke on Tuesday. She is
back home with us and doing fine, as if nothing ever happened.
So I may get back to it tomorrow and I need to post some pics of the Jagdtiger kit and its future build for Pickelhaube.
