Melvin, do you know if Xaiohaoshou is part of JSI or do they make the models for them?
And then Merit distributes them?

I wish someone from 21st could tell us what went down and how its all come to this.... :|

One thing I'd like to see is the return of the 1:18 Panzer IV...............I don't know if its
possible, because its been turned into this... Image

These items are not "new"....just repaints. New would be FW190A

I did a little research on "Xiaohaoshou". That is Chinese for "Trumpeter". The article contained the phonetic spelling of the word, not the translation. Trumpeter also makes "Hobby Boss" and "Easy Model", "Triangle", "Fujimi" and "Pit Boss".

I wouldn't be surprised if they are "JSI" as well.

The Chinese Wikipedia says they make a large range of cheap low quality kits as well that they sell under other brand names.

Sorry I am not sure.
Actually, these are all either JSi or Merit items. Xaiohaoshou is the marketing partner in China

1、Me-262(completed and painted product) - JSI Built and painted
2、SBD(need fabrication and painting)- Merit Model Kit
3、BF109(completed and painted product) - JSI Built and painted
4、F86(completed and painted product) - JSI Built and painted
5、88火炮(need fabrication and painting)- JSI Model Kit

Yes, we have launched the products in China as well as many other countries to make them more readily available.

On the RC tanks, the two of them look like an Abrams turret and upper hull on a Panzer IV suspension and a 50 cal. on the Panzer IV with M26 Pershing styled skirts?

I've got an old 90's RC tank that is a low detail Abrams turret on top with another tank's suspension. Can't stand to look at it, but it does have a high quality remote with completely variable speeds rather than just two or three. Here's an example.

Anyhow back to the Merit / JSI items..... sounds like good news Jim! The larger your market,
the more demand for 1:18, and maybe new 1:18 subjects :) .

Skypirate writes in this thread, that he wishes someone form 21C would respond. Is there still a 21C organization?

If I read between the lines, I'd say Jim@Merit is telling us since these new releases have been launched in China and other countries, it is only a matter of time before we see them in US/Canada. 21C liked to announce releases months before the containers hit the sea. I see no danger in JST/Merit announcing before the fact. It would increase interest and improve the demand. There is nobody competing to steal their ideas.
