there's nothin'. PTE stuff is always well known in advance, cos it takes nearly a year to get over here after it first comes out.

Hey, the grey bunkers could show up, or the peaked roof towers, or bridges, or bunk sets... I'm itchin' to walk into BL and buy some PTE cheap, and paint it up, add some details... add to my SW diorama bits cheap and fast.

Got this info from the Power Team Yahoo Group page. Gordon is with M&C Toys and I think he may have posted here in the past...

Biglots buyer told me in 2011, 80-100% sold out Power Team! It should not appear with old stock this year! We do have a few new 1:18 item on shelf in 2012!

Pls, every body send for the group for 12" figures! I will show the buyer the number of request we have and I will push him to put it in the 2013 program!

Looks like we may see some new 1:18 after all :D

I think "new" is a sorta relative term sometimes, and it could just be new ways of putting out old product (multi-packs with different stuff mixed together or whatnot) but I'm hopeful to see something new all the time. PTE could surprise us.

With it already being over a month later this year than when PTE items were first sighted last year I decided to do a little searching this morning to see if anything was showing up. There are posts in Hisstank and JoeCustoms reporting new PTE sightings at Big Lots! So far the only new items mentioned were a couple of Arctic sets. One with soldiers and a small set with a snow mobile, dog and figure. The only pic is of the snow mobile set in the post at JoeCustoms. Those were 1:18 items. No news yet on 1:6 items.

Might pop in Thursday night. I'll report if I find anything.

So much for the "We always see it before it hits Big Lots" theory. :) The Arctic sets are new and kinda cool. Looks like helmetless headsculpts which hopefully are new... Hard to tell by the pic and how dark it is. Could just be rehashed SWAT heads. :( I'm all for new melons. Headgear would rock too.

Looks like maybe a new accessory or two also, other than the snowmobile, which could be kinda neat.

Big Lots in Sharon PA did stock some PTE this week. They did have the Arctic sets. Not sure if any of the other items are new. Small building wall segment with a searchlight. Sand colored bunker wall. Patrol boat, little bird helicopter

Wall segment with a searchlight is new... gotta pic? Or it sounds new, or a repackaging of old stuff.

Nothing at 2 BL's in my area. Lots of empty shelves, so they're getting ready for something.

Mine looked poised for a reset of sorts but shelves were full of old stuff... no PTE at all, yet.

Looks like BL is gearing up for the holiday season once again. I found the two $13 bunker sets mentioned by others above (the three-section wall bunker) and the other small wall section with staircase and spotlight. They also had a number of the mutt jeeps with trailers, the two common vehicle sets, and a lot of the $5 sets.

That arctic set is interesting but I'm not sure I like the black sled. May make an interesting piece for painting.

Hope to see more - I'm still looking for a bridge.

BL had some PTE out today but not much. Just some 1/6 figs and the $5 sets. One arctic set and it sorta bites. Other than the shoes and tools, it's nto really new. the head is an older sculpt either from SWAT, fire, or SEAL sets. Can't recall which but I had one in my parts bin, so it's old. Don't let folks tell ya otherwise. :)

No hoods or anything. Kinda dumb. You'd figure you'd at least repaint the SEAL head with the cowl or hood and goggles to imply he has some kind of thermal gear on his noggin... Besides the half-assed snowmobile, it's a pretty weak effort even for $5 except the paintjob's kinda neat on the figure.

No other PTE were to be found in this store... If they're resetting for Xmas either they haven't done it or some stores will have very little PTE.

Strangely didn't see anything in my local Big Lots that has traditionally carried the best PTE selection. I'm not really worried as I have a TON of PTE items already and really don't need anymore, but thought it was odd given that people are finding stuff elsewhere.

Same here!
Went to 3 BL's and NOTHIN PTE.
Too bad their employee's don't realize that this stuff sells. You'd think they'd want to get the fast selling stuff on the shelves first. Oh well, just gotta be patient and wait....

Interestingly, I had gone to a few other stores in my town and nothing but the old mdse. Just got lucky with the one store. Perhaps more is on the way.

if anyone is interested in a 1/18 Hawker Hurricane, here is an option. It's actually 1/17.5 but that's less than 3% overscale, so not really noticable. They are made by an obscure company called Nicesky and for some reason, the only place they are available is in Germany, even though Nicesky is a chinese company.

Anyway, it looks quite nice, the only thing missing is a tail wheel. The best german dealer i found is the one in the link below. Seems like a good guy and had the best price, which was 119EURO shipped, which is around $150. So it ain't cheap, but i'm a sucker for this plane and it will look great beside DWK and NKK.
