Captain America First Avenger Shield From A Sled

Post by YT » Tue Nov 15, 2011 9:04 pm

I thought you guys might get a kick out of this. A guy over on the RPF made one of these so I thought I would give it a try. I need to do a lot of wet sanding and polish it up. The lacquer really cut down the gloss. I haven't decided if I am going to make all of the straps and and braces on the back, since I plan on hanging it on my pool room wall.

Thanks, I am still debating if I want to do the brackets and straps on the back. It is just gonna hang on my wall, but I am a completest! I have done a ton of wet sanding, buffing and polishing on the paint since I posted those pics.

Finally got it wet sanded and polished. Attached the star, I just need to add the rivet details and I'm done.
