Great pics. Note the extensive use of Marsden Matting the Warhawks are parked on, some of this steel planking is still in existence and being used by natives on remote Pacific Islands for a variety of purposes, a real testament to the durability of the stuff.

One thing of note is that the wear spots on those P-40's was different in that the lava sand blasted the wear spots on the leading edges of the planes as opposed to the usual chipping away of the paint.
I'll keep that in mind if I ever get an Aleutians P-40.
