Matthew,

The suspense is killing me!!!

In the mean time, I did both wings of the Spit with my leftover dining room paint. You would never know that it was not airbrushed!!!

As far as nooks and crannies, we could either cut them in with a brush, or slice a sponge so it gets down in. Depends on the application.

Still blown away by house paint!!! Go figure. Great enough to got o contest!!!

Well I spent a grand total of about 10 mins on the paint sponge tampo idea of Dean kliens.

It was a total success !!!! I used samples of HOUSE PAINT that was a perfect match done by the paint dpt. at Lowes.

It cost $3 for per sample color. I tried the sponges and they work great.

I did not even give the paint time to dry when I placed the dk green next to the light. ( I do not recomend doing that ) I found that the paint will go on easier if you do 2 light coats rather than try to put it on thick. Also the dabbing whent on easier with a primer base coat. The fuel tube was unprimed and it took about 3 coats to get it right. The finish on the unprimed is a little rougher but that was due to me not letting the coats dry. I rushed it just to see how it worked.

As with any resin you need to prime it first. This is gospel.

Here are some pics. You guys be the judge.

The guys said the paint is a satin finish and it has kind of a semi gloss to it. With a coat of dull coat it should do the trick.

Matthew,

Congrats!! Great news!

Yes - Primer is Paramount - gives latex/acrylic a surface to bite on to..

Yes - Two light coats

These two golden rules and you will never know it was not airbrushed!!!

Thanks!

Dean

OK I have made the molds for the stubs and the pop ins and have poured a couple. They have turned out pretty good .

So I think that the stubs will go for $15 and the pop ins on the lower side. So they will go for $25.

I Have not done the nav lights yet. But I have the main bulb seperate from the stubs so they will be easier to paint. I guess I should have casted them all in one. But by doing this it will give you options if you want to use something else.

I have talked to a few guys who want to use the nav lights off of the original pylons. This CAN be done but there a few issues.

One is they are TOO BIG. They other they are flat and the originals are domed. Mine are domed as the originals. But they probably can be cut down and made to fit . That will have to be done by the modeler.

So you do have options for the nav lights.

I will try and post pics on Tues.

I made the nav light seperate. It is the lighter gray in the pylon stub socket. This will make it easier to paint .

I am in production now. Here are a few production run pieces.

NOW IS THE TIME TO PLACE YOUR ORDER :D :D :D

If you think the pavehawk window pop-ins are neat, you really need to see PH's SDK 222 kit - simply fantastic in the way it all goes together!

By "something else" you mean the jungle penetrator with winch and .50 cal floor mounts for the main cabin area? Or did you mean the DAP version winglets with a 30mm cannon and rocket pod?

Just kidding. I'm sure you're tired of the pavehawk and its variants for now. But if you ever get back to it I'd love to have the stuff mentioned above to really finish out my pavehawk and make my second pavehawk into a DAP version.

Thanks again for all your hard work and dedication.

I was packing the inserts up and I noticed a problem in the inserts. Can any one notice what is wrong with them ?

The sliding tracks are wrong on one of them.

The half slinding track on the port side should be next to the doors.

As I said I was packing them up and MOTHER FOKKER Dr1

I need to change the master and remould the port side.

I do have a bunch of them made ( WRONG ).

If anybody wants them I could sell them to you at $10 a set. Plus $4 for shipping. All you need to do is sand off the wrong track and glue another one on the correct side. I will even give you the piece of styreen that you will need to fix it.

Let me know

Mathew,
I sent a PM about possibly getting a set of your "defective" window popins in addition to some other stuff if you still have any available.

I do not stock anuthing I make them to order.

I wish I had the time to make stock. But being a one horse operation if I am working on one thing something else is not getting done.

I do good when I list a bunch of stuff on e-bay but by doing that is usually puts me behind a week to do anything else.

When you are ready I will make them up.

Thanks :D :D :D
