21c 1/18 Euro Panzer IV - worth getting?

Post by compfire » Wed May 20, 2009 8:37 am

I have most of the 21c armor that was released, but I don't have the Euro Panzer IV. I believe it was only released in Europe. My question is, for thoses that have it or have seen it, is it worth getting?

I was able to get one in a trade with a board member in Europe.
It's still in the box, but I really like the look of this tank.

I was consideringpicking this one up, my self. I hate the paint scheme, but I plan on customizing it for a battle damaged command tank anyway.

If you can find a good deal on one all things considered, then yes. It's a great tank and the future of more Panzer IV's in this scale is very murky.

If you can get a good deal on it, go for it! Under the $80-$100 range would be considered a deal. It has a neat paintscheme and is the only version of the 21c Panzer IV that has schurtzen on the vehicle sides.

The S3 RC Panzer IV was in the same paint scheme as the Euro Panzer, but was made of plastic, lacked the figures, and lacked the schurtzen. You could probably find one of those for a cheaper price...

Definately worth getting as the European MKIV was the only one released with Schurtzen.

Is the Euro version diecast (metal) or plastic?

The PZIV is one of the rarer tanks to obtain and getting the one with the skirts is even more difficult. If you can get one for under the price range nidcated in the other posts I'd definitely go for it.

I think it is by far the best PzIV out there. All of these go for pretty big bucks on ebay, so if I were in the market for one spend the extra $30 and get the European version.

<= $100 is a fair price. They don't come up for sale often though so you may have to wait a month to see one.

Thanks for all the input. I was able to buy one from a seller in France, shipped for $100. I guess that is a ok price. I am looking forward to seeing it in person.
