Hello All

Post by GroundPounder » Sun Feb 15, 2009 10:13 pm

Hey just checking in, old Groundpounder here. The place sure looks great and was just looking around at what all is out there now. Man I would be broke! Been spending the last year learning to carve. Mostly caricature stuff but hoping to learn more realistic stuff, doing military busts and military sculptures.
Take care guys!

Corey

Hey guy! Good to see you and good to see the place still going. Looks like the hobby is surviving the crappy economy. Yeah, I still check out the new stuff every now and then. Every once in a while I get the sculpey out and make some terrain. Just about remodeled the whole damned house. One room left. Took up woodcarving a year ago and love it. Joined a club in Omaha. I am gaining in skill. Most caricature stuff and wood spirits. I hope to start doing military busts and figures at some point. I need to gain additional skills but I know that few do it in wood. Here is a pic of a Santa I did a couple months ago, and a"wood spirit" I did last week. Sorry for the off topic. Family is doing, I travel quite a bit still, my son is now graduated and out of college and he is now a EMT/Firefighter in Omaha. The old place has been running now for what 10 years or so including the gpxd years? Amazing!
Take care!

GP

Hi Corey; Really great to hear from you. Glad to hear you are doing well and your son graduated. We all owe you so much for the original site, you really gotta check in more often. Some of the customs and dioramas are really amazing. Take care. My best to the family. Bob

 GP, man its great to hear from you!
Wow it doesn't seem that long you helped me post pics of my first 21st 1:18th Jagdpanther custom...'01-'02? on GPXD.
I'm happy to hear you and the family are well. Glad I checked the 1:32nd side of the site or I would have missed this.
Stay Well and check in more often,
Normandy.

well, well, well....hello, GP. Glad to see you're still alive and kicking. Britt's done a great job with the new forums but it still isn't quite the same as the old days, somehow.

The wood carving looks good.....still have skill with your hands i see. Sounds like a great hobby.

Don't be a stranger and check in more often, you hear.
